Kobayashi’s Japanese losses

I have been trying to track down information about Kobayashi’s Japanese losses to disprove the claim in the Nathan’s telecast that he has only lost to a bear. The Record Mansion seems to be the best list of results of Japanese contests and it claims that Kobayashi lost three of the four Food Battle Clubs held in 2001 and 2002, all to Nobuyuki “The Giant” Shirota.

OJ,Why are you dwelling on the man’s losses? An athlete should be remembered by his or her achievements, not by their shortcomings. In my opinion, digging to disprove Kobayashi,s invincibility is just foul.

I believe the only loss on American Soil was said to be to a Bear.

Yes, I think the distinction was that the bear was his only loss “on American soil.”

He’s the greatest eater alive so why do you have to bring him down? That’s wrong man.

Hey does it matter if you found some ancient archives that state Kobe lost an eating contest ? Who the f– cares. Some of you people need to get a life or get some sex or do something with your sorry ass lives. And even if some of you are married with kids, it must be a sad life at that if this is preventing you from getting sleep. Kobe is a great eater stop looking for his losses and concentrate on his victories.
