The Krystal Square Off blog has an interview with Eric “Badlands” Booker, who will compete in the Birmingham qualifier on Saturday. “Humble” Bob Shoudt will compete in the Atlanta qualifier on Sunday and Micah “Wing Kong” Collins, Eric “Steakbellie” Livingston, Kevin Ross and Paul Barlow will compete in unspecified qualifiers this weekend.

Seeing pictures of Hangman’s very colorful and patriotic face paint; I wonder what SPBBBMB will wear to try and top that this weekend. Until then I nominate Hangman as the sexiest eater, over 50, with face paint for 2009, hands down.

While Badlands Booker remains a great competitive eater, he’s an even more revered human being. He’s quick to put others before himself, and he’s the kind of person who, if he can’t say something nice about you, he says nothing at all. Eric always tries to find good in people. This world needs more people like Eric.
Badlands, if you were to somehow win the Krystals Finals I think anyone who knows you would celebrate. I, for one, would be ecstatic!
Badlands, you’re indeed “bad” hombre … and one of the kindest, sweetest people I know (though I’d sure hate to see you angry).
Thank God you’re the gentleman you are …

Rhonda is right,Eric is one of the greatest human beings on this Earth,every time I think of doing something dastardly I say to myself,”Badlands wouldn’t be cool with this”, & I reverse course-he’s the conscience I never had-I probably would have murdered a few people,but I want him to be proud of me ’cause I look up to him so much.
