KSO V final to be televised on FSN South

A press release on Krystalist reports that the finals of this year’s Krystal Square Off will be televised on Fox Sports Net South. The previous two finals appeared on ESPN. FSN South is televised in seven states: Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. Weekly updates about the qualifiers will also be aired on the network.

    They got to be kidding ESPN dropped it? . They might as well not televise it at all. Forget the exposure there is none. FSN south???. I had nothing but nice things to say about the krystal contests up until now.

    ESPN is Nationwide so it’s a shame it’s not on there. They did a horrible job showing the finals last year however. Krystal is a great organization and will find a proper outlet for this.

    Perhaps it will be Web-cammed and placed on Youtube if nothing else. However, I have a feeling that one of the national networks might pick it up before Rhonda Evans sings.

    It makes sense though. Why market to all the US when they’re only in the south. If you have a half decent sports package with your tv provider you’ll most likely get the channel. I know I regret the closest one being 8 hrs away.

    FSN is ONLY on cable. It is not shown on Dish TV, Direct TV, or any other satelite tv

    Maybe FSN south can strike a deal with Boone and the world league of competitive eaters. I am sure millions of viewers cant wait to watch him eat ugly apples.

    What’s exciting about the FSN South televised live broadcast of the Krystal finals is that its an hour long broadcast (vs. the 1/2 hour on ESPN last year) and there’s plans for more focus on the eaters during the broadcast. And, in addition to the live televised event, there’s going to be numerous updates throughout the tour so qualifier winners will get more tv exposure and we’re looking into making it avail on the web too.     It sounds like the event will be treated with much more respect by Fox Sports and will be in the states that they actually have restaurants. I was so disappointed last year with ESPN’s coverage as it seemed like it was just a bother to them.

    While the show may be as good as the SPIKE shows, I lament that the other PA eaters like Wing Kong wont be able to watch me at the finals. Mayhap Krystals will Youtube it on their Website???

    Bring back the Qualifier Webcam!!!!

    Doesnt matter how much more respect FSN will give the eaters the bottom line is the contest is being telecast to a limited amount of viewers within the U.S. Northeeast states such as NYC will be blacked out If you are in this for the media coverage alone you wont be recieving very much. Without ESPN its totally worthless.

    KSO Final on FSN South is a good thing – ESPN shortchanged everyone with that 1/2 hour badly scheduled mess last year – an hour show will be an entertaining show – also, the audience, and consumers of Krystals all get FSN South – a smart marketing move by the greatest eating sponsor in the world.

    I have to disagree with you on the qualifier cams steakbellie. The porno site hidden toilet cams that were placed in public restrooms in Europe were more effective and produced better quality than the crap cams that were simulacast on the krystal site

    I’ll tell ya this hangman is getting more publicity on this site since his questioning of wild bill’s results in the broadway on the beach contest. You got imposters such as hungman and a few other nuts that wont let the shit rest. I say let him be for he is a law abiding christian that prays to the lord on a consistant basis. I think a hangman boone confrontation is what the public yearns for.

    I find it not only disgusting but very childish they way some anonymous posters are making fun of Hangmans speech impediment. If he was slurring his words because he was a drunk and refused to stop drinking that would be one thing but laugh at him because he had a stroke and now stutters is just childish.

    I will have a word with these childish morons. I assume they were unaware that his stuttering was caused by a stroke. It is one thing to make fun of some one born with that handicap because they can do something about it by going to speech class but mocking someone after they had a stroke is downright brutal!
