to the 9:15 am poster . You know nothing about how YT works as far as revenue sharing . Even with a million views try paying the rent with the chump change check you receive in proceeds I am living proof of it

You tube latest thing is removing monetized ads from youtube videos with less than 1000 subscribers and less than 240,000 watch time minutes during the course of one year. It takes effect Feb 20. Before that you only needed 10,000 views per year and small amount of subscribers to maintain monetization. If you joined the youtube partner affiliate program you get paid everytime an ad appears on your video. Not the case anymore for the little people Beast , Furious Pete are not affected because they have millions of views and thousands of subscribers . However they are not getting a free pass so to speak. They are cracking down on the youtubers who have made larges sums of money by carefully monitoring their content and issuing strikes whenever they feel the need to. In other words they are not out of the woods by any stretch At this point YT sucks. Hopefully there will be an alternative somewhere down the line but like Napster its hard to duplicate an original

Honestly YT implemented that rule on account of LA Beast and others making videos of dangerous eating stunts and other shit. This is not to put the sole blame on him enitrely because there were far worse such as random suicide videos and murders etc. Restrictions on videos not deemed suitable for airing . YT should have implemented intense screening before approving new accounts including photo ID background search .
