Between Badlands, Stonie, Joey, Pat, and Bob, one of those five will win it, and the others will take the money.

Since others seem to be able to do whatever contest or challenge they want these days, I put in an entry attempt for Gyoza. I don’t expect anything to come from it, but stranger things have happened. Ok, maybe not that strange.

G-Joe, did you get any response yet? I’m sure Jamie McDonald will be there, even though he is supposedly headlining Bartolini’s this weekend as well.

Jamie is MLE now. I don’t think he’ll be making that meatball contest….

    Jamie,

I can’t give my name because I’m MLE. Since they didn’t offer you anything yet, did they say you can’t compete in their events anymore or?

I know you don’t have to answer but, I’m really confused by all this.

Well, yes he can if he has yet to sign a contract but I would think that if he wants to become MLE, perhaps he has to ask them directly. Lots of things slip past in the various frenzied contests by oversight, not by design. So, if he does want to become part of MLE, rather than taking chances or being thought to be a bit dense by trying to do both, he should speak with MLE. If he does not care and does not have any intention of becoming MLE and signing a contract, yes, he can do whatever he wants without their being consequences. Then the burden is on them.

P.S. If Jamie is publicly stating here what he is or is not doing, and if I were an MLE eater, I too would be confused and even rather angry if MLE was paying so little attention to who is or is not competing that he is slipping in and making money and competing simultaneously as an independent, an AICE, AND at MLE contests. Seems very fishy to me all around. Wither Jamie is not the brightest fish in the ocean or he wants to swim freely with sharks and see what happens.

If you have done MLE contest you are MLE eater. some MLE eaters are able to do whatever they want without getting kicked out. others try it and get kicked out. Jamie MCdonald is good enough that he should be allowed to do anything he wants and also do MLE contest. Any MLE eater who doesnt like that should tell the Sheas they deserve to be favored like Jamie McDonald is

I will clear up a few things, keep in mind I have been participating in contests whether they are Indy or mle for about 2 months…. I tried it out at a local contest found out that I can do alright and have continued on trying to do a many contests as possible to establish myself and get practice. Now is it my fault that I have turned out to be better than average at this? I will pose a question to those that have been around much longer than I, how many eaters have been offered a contract within 3 months of starting? Also, how many eaters would not do the same as I have done if given the freedom to do so?

As of today the option is gone, I have been offered a contract and cannot participate in anymore mle events until I sign. Which I have no problem with, those are the rules and so be it. So far I have met a lot of great people doing these contests as look forward to meeting many more. A lot of people willing to offer advice and guidance to someone new to the sport and it has been greatly appreciated.

Jaime, I promise you this: if you keep doing non-MLE contests, you will never do another MLE event. It won’t matter if you sign the contract in six months and send it in. By not signing it now, you effectively make the choice to be an outsider forever. Signed eaters will raise hell if you try to join MLE down the road. Adios amigo.

As long as he doesn’t do APE events, he still has a chance to be in MLE
