Thuzio.com is offering lunch or dinner with Takeru Kobayashi for $1,500. The fee does not apparently include a competitive eating exhibition and possible sites for the meal are three New York City restaurants: Plein Sud in TriBeCa, Home Restaurant or Palma.

Besides, some counties where it’s legal in Nevada, isn’t this bordering on — well you know — do I have to point it out? Hey, if you throw in an extra couple of more bucks maybe he’ll hold a private audience for you and he will demonstrate how to eat massive amounts of bunless Hofmann hotddogs in a private setting? Sounds like Maggie is really going to new lengths to pimp “Free” Kobi into “Pay” Kobi. I guess you can’t fault a working guy looking for anyway to turn his talent into a trick. Yet, Hofmann’s has to be asking themselves what the hell were we thinking? Hiring a foreign national to promote your iconic American hot dog product? I mean think about it? Your Hoffman hot dog promotion spokesperson lost his hot dog eating title over five years ago. Your Hofmann hot dog spokesperson embarassingly stormed the stage at Coney Island in a desperate effort to eat more Nathan’s hotdogs. Oh and let’s not forget, after losing at Nathan’s two years in a row, your Hofmann Hot Dog spokesperson proved that he would actually eat any hot dog including Crif Dogs and West Coast hot dogs if they paid him more money.

Does anyone even care about Kobi anymore? I know I don’t. Bring on “the Bear”! He’s the new it guy. Especially when he beats Kobi’s numbers. Kobi is old news. Nothing he says or does is even worth the “interpretation” anymore. I say… Hang it up already Kobi… no one cares. Next!!!!
