Justin Fluhr reports that Man vs. Food is currently recording at Bub's in Carmel, Indiana. update The challenge will apparently be four one pound burgers.

    what was eaten as the challenge? The big ugly has been finished by lots and lots of people. Please tell me that he at least ate two of those mo’fo’s.

    we left there about 7:30, he had just arrived, hadn’t been served anything yet. then again, neither had any other (paying) customers in quite some time–waiting in the rain. wouldn’t expect that from Bub’s, to not at least tell people standing outside in rain that there wouldn’t be any seating or service for hours.

    Bub’s huh………………..Of all the places in Indy why Bub’s??? I grew up in Indy and lived there for 19 years and I have never heard of the place….must be REAL good. I also heard that the owner can’t even pay his bills!!!!! Way to go Adam……should of gone to Mann’s Grill.

    Papa Roux has a 5lb Cajun Po Boy Challenge in Indianapolis that would have been so much better to see than 4 pancakes after he has done them 3-4 times.

    Papa, Bub’s is a burger joint, not pancakes. Not sure where you got that idea from. And Travis, Bub’s has been around for quite a few years. The big ugly challenge is a staple on the north side!

    Live in Dayton, OH, but went to Bub’s Burgers and Ice Cream next to Monon Bike Trail yesterday. Awesome!!! The big ugly was the size of a pie pan! Bub’s Cafe was on the cover of a magazine we found in our hotel. The cafe is indeed a breakfast place, and it’s specialties include a stack of pancakes, Bub’s donut holes, and hearty omelettes. Bub’s Cafe is related to Bub’s Burgers and Ice Cream, but they are different establishments. Definitely going back!!!

    I went to BUB’s on Friday, and our waiter said he was also there the night of the challenge, but obviously he couldn’t reveal the outcome. He did say, however, that the challenge was to eat 4 BUB’s 1 pound burgers, and the most anyone has ever completed was 3 burgers. I am so excited about the episode. It is supposed to air the 2nd week of August on the Travel channel, but I couldn’t find it on the schedule. Does anyone know the official date it will be on tv?

    Travis, I’ve lived in Indianapolis for 24 years and I know about bubs because it’s the best place to get a cheeseburger in Indiana. Just bc u havnt heard of something doesn’t mean it’s not good. And if you havnt heard of this place why do you know the owners can’t pay his bills? Your a pos liar dude and if he really can’t pay his bills that’s bc carmel is screwing him over on rent like every other place in Carmel. You made yourself sound like a real asshole haha.
