    Good job Mark.
I’ll be at the 3-31-09 qualifier in Pittsburgh.
Hopefully I’ll see you at the finals (hopefully for me to get there, not you).

P.S. That food drinking looked appetizing!

From the AICE website: “Over the years, many competitive eating fans have gasped in horror as they suffered the indignity of watching Eaters separate, dunk, mush and mash and perform other unmentionable “Picnic profanities.”

Mark, your flagrant use of a dunk tank would have been illegal even in the IFOCE. Even they dont allow dunking more than 5 seconds. You’ve embarrassed us and should be stricken from the record holdings. I await your apology.

the rules of the challenge say eat it. not you can only do THIS or THAT. dunking in challenges is morally reprehensible, but not against the “rules”.

I agree with the last post. JUST FREAKIN’ EAT IT!!!!!!!!!! And if it is any consolation if you dunk for more than 5 seconds it’s nastier. If it takes more than 5 seconds to get it soggy enough to cram in then it is basically cardboard anyhow. It looks like the bread was still intact not slopping apart much like the buns nathan’s uses. So that 5 second rule is a farce. Who cares how it was eaten…..IT GOT ATE!!!! So go write your congressman or something.

From what I heard he DID ask…….dunk tanks WERE permitted. They even supplied the water.

AICE of spades go spread your hate somewhere else……this is supposed to be a fun blog.

i did ask if dunk tanks were allowed and they didnt have a problem with them. that was how the other previous records were set. i cant wait to go back down and eat it normally. that sandwich was damn good wet, cant wait to actually enjoy it. the fries were battered and deep fried and tough as hell to get down. i hope someone beats the time so i can go at it again, it was fun and everyone in the place was rooting for me. people actually caught wind that i was going to attempt to beat it and they stayed just to watch. gotta love ce fans!

i highly recommend the ohio deli as a place to go, they have great food and they love big eaters.

aice o’ spades how was i FLAGRANTLY using a dunk tank? like i was trying to hide it or something. and who says that a 5 second dunk rule is the LAW in ce? ifoce? c’mon get a life and be negative somewhere else. yes i dunk in contests when i am allowed and will continue to use a dunk tank if i am allowed. fast is fast and that is the fastest method sometimes.

    once again great sandwich!

see yall in pittsburgh (i hope, may be too busy to go qualify).

    GOOD EATS!
