501 is doable in a long format. Probably about 17-20 lbs of food.
That said a long form like that is most likely slightly inflated as a lot of contests are. Like pitches in baseball or height in any sport.

Joey probably ate about 23-24lbs or so…..we all now contests mle or independent inflate weights

I was surprised by just how impressive Molly Schuyler’s Wing Bowl performance was. Eating 501 wings is an incredible number, and the reactions in the comments make the record even more interesting. Competitive eating really does bring some unexpected stories and remarkable achievements.
