How come when Seiken uploads a video where he takes questions from fans you ignore it?

Seikan’s ranking versus Stonie’s rank and his possible positioning to overtake Joey and all of the top eaters might be one reason though I doubt OJ takes that into consideration as much as simply the amount of videos Seiken uploads and the abilities of followers to subscribe to them or check his (BB’s) website as often as they wish.

But Matt, nor most everyone else, has not Brian’s wealth of comp. eating experience which speaks volumes in and of itself.

Not about comp eating experience. Just that Seiken was there and an intregel force during the beginning stages of the IFOCE when the Sheas were excited about making this thing work. Lerman Jarvis Liositz Booker Hardy they were the key men that George and Rich depended on to carry the weight of the newly formed IFOCE

Do we have actors and politicians and any other category constantly trying to get into the forefront of the news for things they did 14 years ago and going forward? This hounding about the past is not about the near present. Why doesn’t Seiken write a book.

Stonie’s videos get attention because he’s a young, exciting eater and that’s what people want to see. To use an NFL quarterback analogy, would you rather watch a Q&A video starring Tim Tebow, Andrew Luck or RG3 or a video starring Kurt Warner, Matt Hasselbeck, or Tony Romo? Nine fans out of 10 would choose the young guys.

Forefront of the news for things they did 14yrs ago? Try Don Moses Lerman and not Seiken

I think you’re right, MM, in explaining that people favor new, exciting, popular figures over the older legends. I do think there is also a bit of interest in older, legendary types who were tight-lipped about discussing their views / personal lives—-at least with older fans who followed them in their heydays.

Seiken and Lerman have never ever been tight-lipped nor are they now about their views on competitive eating. In one case people’s personal lives have never been off limits either though theirs have and continue to be.

I think Don Moses Lerman has been screwed over many times during his comp eating career and deserves to speak his mind
