In the past a number of eaters affiliated with the IFOCE have tried to raise money for charitable causes but made sure they stuffed their face at the fund raiser which in effect is considered eating for another sponsor. They figure as long as its not for personal gains $$$, its ok. MLE should take a firm stance on this bullshit regardless of whether its charity or not. Next time just raise the money instead of getttng a stinkin free meal out of the deal

Um… If you would have read it, anonymous, you would notice that there was no food involved here. I am just raising money. There is no free meal. Weird that you’d climb aboard a high horse before checking into that.
The only fundraisers I have done have all been just personal side stuff, usually tied to my MLE contest goals or to my birthdays, or to my life stuff. No sponsors. I just like supporting causes I believe in and helping people. If that’s “bullshit” to you, then you need to make a field trip to a farm to try to sniff out the difference.
