I am so freaking excited about this! The idea of a downloadable game is great for alot of reasons. If the game designers are smart, they will leave alot of open hooks in the initial software build. That way if the game is a big success they can offer downloadable upgrade packs, new eaters, new foods, new weapons. If the game is successful, they dont have to stop development and can generate new revenue with upgrades. And because you dont have to anticipate demand, no money gets wasted in storage and packaging. Overall it’s a win-win between the Development companies and the Game Players as games will come to market faster and actually cheaper.

Personally I am looking to the Table Ender Service Pack 1 which will feature me and SuperPaul in a Mustard Gas Death Match. Can you imagine how much fun this thing is going to be?

I like the technicolor yawn by Eric the Red, just like real life. I wonder if his secret weapon will be his knee high “red hot” socks.

Personally I think the game sort of degrades the endeavor that is competitive eating.

However, I think its design with all the unrealistic deployment of eaters’ “weapons” will be more appealing to potential buyers than not using them. So all-in-all I think the game will do a lot to help not only the game, but the “sport” as well, to sell.

I’m talking all of CE, but especially MLE. I’d like to see APE (AICE) come up with something like this as well. It would be nice if they could come up with a joint venture initiative with their Japanase friends.
