Just my opinion but in reading the press release, it seems that the focus is on fans not on eaters. Nathans really doesn’t need Kobayashi. The hard core fans want Kobayashi, and it isn’t the Sheas who will make the decision anyway. It is Mr. Nathan himself, Wayne. Likely, given the “resources” as in money that Nathans has at its disposal, making Kobayashi and hard core fans happy is the least likely scenario. If they were smart, they would do a women’s event. There are enough really good female eaters. I know the males will grouch but honestly, there are too many good male eaters anyway so only the top would be chosen and then everyone would say same old same old.

What womens event are you talking about? They have one every year at Nathans in Coney Island unless you mean Sudo vs Schyler which would draw nobody because we know Sudo would more than likely be dominated

What ever happened to that Labor Day match of 1999 between Hardy and the terminator which never took place after Hardy claim that Terminator jumped the gun on the 4th of July contest and started eating hot dogs before whistle blew
