The 2011 Nathan's finals will be televised live in the United Kingdom on ESPN America and Paul Page will return as announcer despite calling the defending champion "Joey Chitwood" on last year's broadcast.

    Paul Page is an insult to CE—-eaters AND fans. Crazy Legs should join up with Rich on the commentary. Let Page conduct a couple of interviews (fill the square w/ ESPN) and then get his ass out of the way!

    I agree Rhonda that ESPN should find a replacement, but I’m sure ESPN wants some control or one of their own in the booth if it’s an ESPN production… I know football sometimes have 3 broadcasters in the booth, maybe they can pull some strings for CLC, but Rhonda your love for CLC is very suspect.

    You cant play around with MLE type favortism when it comes to ESPN. These guys have set contracts and unlike Spike tv , Rich Shea just cant bring his sidekick along

    Goodness me, lots of back and forth here. Whatever one thinks of Paul Page, he has the job and the pension. If Joey Chitwood did not remove him from this year’s running, there is probably a reason. Crazy Legs could outspeed him by light years but………..

    It’s ironic that you insult my “sharpness” when in fact you weren’t sharp enough to see that my initial response was actually agreeing with your opinion, I was merely pointing out that ESPN wouldn’t let CLC be in the broadcast booth in lieu of an ESPN announcer to represent their own broadcast/production. My apologies for giving you enough credit to think you could have actually figured that out on your own. I even went onto say I hope they can pull some strings to get CLC in there as a 3rd commentator. With all that said you still had a bad case of selective reading and all you saw was “Your love for CLC is suspect” in bolded 72 font strobing on your screen. You taking offense to “only” that comment pretty much confirms that statement to be true on some level.

    For the record, I have no problem with CLC, he’s a nice guy…

    Good luck with that pop-a-wheelie, although it might be hard to do with your noses stuck up CLC’s ass.
