NCAA Bracket Challenge
Paul Barlow emails that he has set up a NCAA tournament bracket challenge league:
Please publish this invitation for all Eaters and Fans to join in my NCAA Basketball picking league on Fox Sports.com’s bracket challenge. The league is called Eat More Basketballs, the password is ifoce (lower case)….even though the password is my eating league, all eaters in any organization is more than welcome – I just wanna have fun!! I didn’t have everyone’s email, so this will hopefully suffice as an invitation to all.
Whoever wants to enter better move fast….the NCAA tournament starts Thursday!!

Thanks for the props everyone! SP∞BB, I am actually pretty ignorant when it comes to sports predilections and things like that, so you would DEFINITELY beat me in the bracket challenge. And yes, I know I’m using predilections incorrectly, but it’s a funny sounding word, so I like using it whenever I get the chance.

Kevin i asked them to add on more comments after i submitted my initial one but i guess they chose not to. I included a line from the El toro track “Keep your evil ways” but also mentioned that Kevin Ross looks like a cross between Lorenzo Lamas & Rick Nelson of ozzie and harriet and when he wears his high school baseball jacket reminds me of Ralph Mouth’s famous line on happy days “Im supposed to be cute not athletic”

Bracket results after the first rounds:
Our predictors who refused to go out on a limb, and only picked the top seeds are leading the pack. The few, the proud, the wimpy! Congrats so far to Pennsylvania’s finest eating kilt wearer, SteakBellie, and our mysterious lady in tiger land, Sandra the LSU Fan.
My favorite picker is our last place lounger, Forrest Gump. His picks, I’ve been told, are based on picking states over cities, southern states over northern states, and places he’s either visited, lived in, or been to over strange places he’s never heard of. Forrest says that picking basketball games is like eating a box of chocolates, you never know what you’ve picked.
Many pickers have already had two of their final four floored, and let’s hope some of these chalk players get their number one seeds soiled, spoiled, and smashed!!

Me picks got blown out back to stone age – Bedrock U. not even make tournament!! Favorite pickers winning – Stonebellie, LSU Sandrock, and Nasty Nate Neanderthal all take no chance – so they ahead!! Am that cheating to just pick easy ones, and no go for broke??? Why SuperPaul Rockbreaker BigRock Bonelow have so many teams – and him still losing – this just like him results in eat contests!!
Me no need plasma TV anyway – reception in cave stink, and me rather play Halo 3MillionBC on RockBox 360!!

Going into the Final Four, It’s Steakbellie, LSU Sandra, and Nasty Nate, all the “chalk” players, leading the pool. My gazillion entries have let me down – since all the favorites are winning. If LSU Sandra wins, it will be the most impressive debut by a female against competitive eating men since Sonya Thomas first showed up at a Nathan’s qualifier!!
Forrest Gump has last place locked up….stupid is as stupid picked.

Final pool results:
1. SPBBBMB – wins despite not picking national champ
2. LSU Fan – the formidable female favored favorites, but picked the wrong finale.
3. Stink Bottoms – Steakbellie also favored favorites, and also fumbled the final.
4. Nasty Nate – same final picks as Sandra the LSU fan sealed his fourth place fate.
5. Stupid Is As Stupid Does – Forrest Gump was the only picker to pick the champion, and rose from the depths to finish fifth.
Having several teams and entries helps the pool organizer prevail, and I look forward to more eaters in next year’s pool. Special thanks to Gentleman Joe for entering, making this a multi-league event. It was also fun to have the cavemen involved, and many other EatFeat contributors.
