Do you want to eat or drink your food? Babies before teeth and old people after losing theirs mostly drink their food. In between we eat our food. We are not babies and we are not old people. At least most competitive eaters are not old. Right super Paul Big Mouth Bone Breaker Barlow. So eat your food and enjoy it. Numbers are lower because it is tougher to eat mass quantities of dry food.

If need be. Use an asterix in the records. One for dunking and another record for no dunking.

Absolutely! I’m down with that. As Water Logged alluded to, just note with an asterisk, or that as of a given specific date, HDBs were consumed unassisted by dunking. That will likely give the numbers more validity and credibility.
Of course, dunking will always be treated as a Linus blanket for several top eaters who are afraid to foray into uncharted territory.
