The new poll asks what eater currently ranked in the IFOCE top 50 who has been competing since at least 2006 and has never made the Nathan’s finals would you most like to see appear on the Coney Island stage. (If I missed anyone who meets these criteria, I will add him to the poll)
A listing of all 15+ HDB qualifier results in the database by eaters who have never reached the Nathan’s finals follows after the jump

Where is the US Male in this poll? He would be a good choice to be at Coney.

US Male started competing in IFOCE contests in 2007.

We need a Wing Kong option please!
He ate in the legendary WB 13 and then competed with me in Nathans the following year in Philly.
Since then he has done a whole lot, but he’s very cuddly and hugable. (he’s also in the finals this year!)

oh wait, i actually read the rules. WK just qualified so he’s inegible. Still think he’s a kick-ass choice for ROY this year! This guy has been busting his ass to get better. Who doesnt respect the work ethic? Me? I’m working on this case of beer!

Stop pandering to the crowd, you kilt-wearing kook. But, good work keeping your name in front of the voters. Haven’t you been spoiled by success enough? Vegas, Jimmy Kimmel, Wing Bowls…go away, and make a haiku, you tartan-covered trash talker!
SuperPaul Barlow would never do that – he is a shy, reserved, wonderful human who just can’t eat many hot dogs. However, the love, fashion, and good will he has bestowed upon the masses for way too many years should earn him everyone’s vote. Plus, he got gypped out of that million dollar show “Block Party”. It’s the least we can do for this great grating American.
Same for Beautiful Brian – shy, kind, handsome, a great singer, never a bad word for anyone – show him some love, because nobody loves competitive eating more than him.
Larry the Legend, El Toro, The Erbivore – all fine citizens, fashion devotees, and worthy of your vote. Make the Mad Greek happy, or he may come after you, and make you sad….And where would we be without Wild Bill’s scorecards? Lost in a sea of calculating confusion. Doesn’t he deserve to be on your scorecard?
Lastly, Russ Keeler keeps competing at a high level with many narrow misses, help the tye-dye warrior, make his family happy, and vote early and often.

I agree that no one loves CE more than Beautiful Brian, but that son of a bitch has an unkind word for anybody and everybody who either disagrees with him or doesn’t seem friendly towards him. Give me a f****n break!

Speaking of rookies, who’s up for Rookie of the Year this year? Does anyone know?

Even though Stinky Miernicki has been eating for several years, i would give him the nod for rookie of the year with Gavonne Rose a close second. Those are our eaters of the future

The table in this post is quite flawed. It only lists the first occasion that each of these eaters ate 15+ HDB. So Russ Keeler is listed near the bottom at 16, even though he has eaten 23 since then.
Also, Justin Mih’s entry in the table (which is 6 below his PB) is not from a qualifier (otherwise, how would he have come 1st yet never have made the finals?).

Speaking of Rookie of the Year… That’s my goal. I know my Nathan’s qualifiers weren’t the strongest of numbers (14 hdb in Tempe, 22 in Kansas City and 18 in Denver)… but I’m lookin to be in consideration for it.
