The new poll asks if you think if Sonya Thomas will retire without having ever lost to another female competitive eater.

    First they need to compete against her. If Sonya competes for 5 more years some female would likely appear that would give her a run for her money, but that person is not yet on the radar screen.

    Juliet is not quite yet at Carlene’s level, and I don’t think she would be able to eat as many Hot Dogs as Carlene, who is one of the best eaters of all time, male or female. But I do believe that Juliet could defeat Gal Sone in any contest of any duration with any food. Juliet is for real. Gal Sone is about smiles, cosmetics, attention, and bright lights.

    Agree with Rhonda. Right now, no woman can beat her and its doubtful that we’ll be able to find another woman with Sonya-like talent anytime in the near future. Actually, we may FIND a woman with her talent, but convincing her to eat competitively in front of hundreds or thousands of people is another challenge entirely.

    I wanted to vote in the poll but I cant. My choice is not there. Sonya will get defeated later this week by a college female. Now she is seeking out opportunities to lose. She is crazy.

    Rhonda this idiot (Luther) has been posting on this site for some time now. I dont know why OJ allows his posts to go through. This person is just f–ng with people’s heads but there are still some that continue to take him serious. If OJ continues to let him post i suggest we just ignore him.

    One thing is for sure. Sonya is not going down hill talent wise. She never had much to begin with. Her records are all gifts because people felt sorry to beat her. But now men are being real men and mopping the floor up with her. It is about time. By the end of the year she will be history and then when Juliet makes her exit it will be the sport it can be. Spike tv calls it right. Its a station for men and comp. eating is a mans sport. So I am right.

    There are no beautiful amazing women in competitive eating period. They should be cooking it instead of trying to compete with men where they don’t belong.

    Julieonya if you are a cross between Julie and Sonya then you have pitiful focuses.They are tolerated as eaters but they are not even top 20 material in the real world. There are probably only a hand ful of guy eaters in the top 50 they can outeat fair and sqyuare. Seiken is better than they are. Dale Boone can eat circles around both of them yet he is ranked below them. How?

    Getting back to the subject, I want to bring up a point. It may be quite possible, even expected, that sooner or later Sonya may finish behind Juliet in an event that Juliet doen’t win. But it will be extremely difficult for Juliet to WIN an event that Sonya is in.

    Furthermore. I believe that when determining eaters rankings, less weight should be given to an eater that merely finishes ahead of an opponent in a contest and more weight should be given to eaters that win contests, in which one or more top ranked eaters participate. That’s what I call the killer instinct. Anybody can be an also ran, edge out somebody for third, fourth or fifth, but it is much, much tougher to actually win an event.

    Case in point (and thanks to speedeat I remember this), in the 2003 Buffalo Wing Contest Booker came in “a shocking” 12th, and at the time Eric was ranked about # 3 in the World. But this in no way meant that those who finished ahead of him were better eaters than Eric, and in succeding eating events Eric continued to smoke the majority of those that finished ahead of him that day. Eric had/has the records to back up his eating notoriety and to justify his high ranking. So did Cookie back then.

    So when I look at rankings, I immediately look to see what titles that person holds. And if there are only one or two, and if that person has been eating more than 2 years, and ranked higher than those with a bunch of titles, then that person is simply ranked way, way too high.

    That’s just me, but I believe what I’m saying has substantial merit.

    I have to give it to Beautiful Brian because he has apparently discovered another angle in competitive eating, that being female versus female. It looks like Julie is on a mission to destroy Sonya Thomas and has marked Sonya as the enemy. I don’t know what Sonya might have done to her, but if Julie wants to pick a fight, I think Sonya will be happy to oblige. However there is one problem. For two people to be rivals don’t they have to be of fairly equal talent? I don’t believe Sonya takes her seriously as of yet, nor should she until she has reason to. I admit that Julie is a world top talent already. But, in comparison to Sonya this is Julie’s second year and she has yet to finish higher than third in a contest, let alone win one. I believe that Sonya had about 9 or 10 victories before she hit the 1 year mark. Anyway it makes for good reading.

    I also agree with G. Joe Menchetti who stated in an older post on this site that Sonya should adopt a bad girl personna. I agree but it seems that Juliet is doing that instead, based on what Brian wrote. Juliet admits that she doesn’t want to kill the men. She loves them. She just wants to kill Sonya. I’m sure men love that fact. She sends out the right kind of vibes to attract men. And I myself find her very sexy. Juliet seems and looks like a great bar find. That is a talent in itself perhaps.

    I removed the article . Normally i dont remove anything unless it appears to others it might be in bad taste or it is absolutely necessary. The Shea’s might pick up on it and turn it into a half hour tv show for spike tv like they did with Kevin and i for INHD
