I think you forgot my name on the list…but that’s OK, I’m still enjoying Beautiful Brian’s article….I must be doing something right.
The winner of this poll should be the 1,000 lb dude my wife made me watch on Dr. Phil a few weeks ago…the dude’s mom brings him food, he can’t stop eating (so he says), and can’t hardly get out of bed….he’d beat us all!!

Well, there has to be some time limit. You woudn’t want to continuously have people try to eat forever without a break. But I would say that if the contest were 2 to 12 hours I’d eagerly put my money on Sonya followed by Rich, Tim, Joey, and Pat.
With Sonya, it seems that while others would be getting full and hitting walls, letting Sonya continually eat for 2 hours or longer would be a calorie-burning activity, which, in turn, would necessitate her eating more food to replenish her depleted energy. The process would perpetuate itself over and over. The greater the time, the greater the number of process cycles: hunger – eating – calorie burning – energy depletion – need for food – hunger …
Let’s test it. May someone in the IFOCE read this and set up and let’s see for real. Better yet, let The Sheas and Mr. Chapman get together to allow this to happen.
Just put a few bucks on the line, however, to make it worth Sonya’s time. She’ll show you. As I say often: I know what I know. (Or I’d like to think so anyway.)
Sonya would make my contention valid, which would, in turn, me feel like Einstein’s offspring – like I took a dip in an intelligence gene pool.
The woman’s an eating machine I tell you!

Let me also say that Mark (The Human Vac) Lyle and The Goose would likely put up some incredible numbers too!

In the long game Rick Lefevre is the man, I don’t think anyone has the stamina or capacity of Rich.

(Butch) Rich definitely would is up there with the best. One thing I can say for sure is that I can’t remember him or Sonya ever looking like they had their fill after any contest thus far. I would kind of like to see Sonya eat against the gal in one of those contests. That would be real interesting.

I voted LeFevre. Anyone who votes for me, (while I would appreciate the confidence) is an ass. I’m not putting up my $$$ or anyone else’s in a two hour contest against Joey, Kobe, Shirota, Sonya or Lefevre.
I think 12 minutes is too long, besides the strain it puts on the body, its hard to hold interest for that long. You can only, actively watch someone eat for so long!

(Butch) Joe how do you think Kate, Gal, or Lori would do in a very long contest? Do you think they would even come close to those you name? They seem to get mucho notoriety for endurance.

Kate: Unlikely to do well with anyone but “friends” watching.
Gal: The only thing I’ve watched is spaghetti? w/Shirota. That looked easy. So, I don’t know.
Lori Weiss: If the info is correct, probably pretty good.

Rich and then Sonya, I’ve always been amazed at Rich in the long game he really doesn’t stop and Sonya is right there with him. These two are the Titans of the long event.

If Kate brings her friends to help otherwise Rich L all the way

I think such an event needs to be organized and scheduled. Open it up to all who wish to participate and make it a MINIMUM of 90 – 120 minutes. Just ascribe a decent purse to it and pay out to at least the top 5 finishers in total quantity of food consumed within the alloted time, whether an eater stopped eating or not, as long as he doesn’t suffer a reversal.
And may the Gal and Shirota come too, for this is their game.

Rhonda you make me laugh. Let the Shea’s and Chapman get together to make this happen? Not in this lifetime or any other lifetime.I do believe that Chapman lives on hoping one day George Shea will call him allowing aice to compete with ifoce. Shea has no interest at all. When some of these ifoce members come up with these one to one matches the Shea’s are like mommy and daddy. “Ok son nice idea but i’m not interested . Now go do your homework and then get ready for bed:” . Get my point?

anony what you say is based on the past. But I’ve always believed that even if the ideal seems unrealistic, it’s important to keep it (the ideal) in mind. It provides focus and a sense of direction.
I honestly believe that the chances of the IFOCE and AICE allowing eaters to get together is possible some day in the not-too-distant future. The past may be a fairly reliable indicator of future behavior, most of the time, but definitely with exceptions.
For if it were not for change, we would still be rubbing two sticks together to make a fire, even repeating the past is so easy a Caveman could do it. 🙂

The IFOCE will never be able to make a real push for the big time if people realize that there are AMAZING eaters out there who are excluded for no good reason.
However, like any major sport, a contract is a contract.
In hockey, if you play in Russia, you can’t come to the NHL for a few games and then go back to your Russian team. You have to leave one and sign on with the other.
In football, you can’t play in the CFL and only come to the NFL for the playoffs.
Baseball, Japan vs MLB.

Mark Lyle and Ian Hickman should email IFOCE ,sign the waiver and compete with the big boys. In the long run they will have made the right choice
What anony said

How would that be the best choice for Ian and Mark. Let me see…pay for their own transportation, sell out their values, make no money… am I missing something. Oh, and you forgot to mention the Goose who is tearing up the CE scene. IFOCE should be concerned about this Cat.

Hickman has had plenty of tv time outside of the ifoce, & probably makes more $$ competing freely than if he was with the “evil empire”. He also seems a little embarrased by his popularity.
Both have competed in their beginnings in ifoce contests.
No one in aice belongs in the ifoce. Most of the people in the ifoce do not belong. Kobe, Chestnut, & Sonya might be the only ones you can make a case for who really belong. After that, would be Bertoletti, Simpson, Shoudt, Janus, LeFevre & Conti. If they came back from retirement, Cookie & Booker.
EVERYONE else would be better off being independent. I shouldn’t say that, cuz someone might actually listen, then I would have additional competition.

What anony, Ever think that pride might win over dollars? Maybe Lyle & Hickman are tired or bored kicking aice ass and would like a shot at Sonya, Bertoletti Chestnut and co? Let them speak for themself. I bet their answer might be different from your’s . If i am wrong i will leave this forum.

It would be great if you “anonymous”ly left this forum. LOL.
Most of the aice eaters would like a(nother) chance at ifoce eaters. None of us would have a chance at the 3 I listed previously (short contests excluded) & would rarely beat most of the others. (Conti excluded, most 4 star eaters can beat him)
