The best part of this story is that nobody cares. Wehry is a cheater and has been “quietly quit” on by all his fellow eaters except for his wife. 3:30 pm– they weren’t just baseless claims. There’s pretty damning video evidence of what he has done. He cheated at Nathans by taking a plate and lying. He cheated at Sal Army donut contest by lying about his total amount eaten. He can post about “raising so much money for charity” in all the great events he does, but the fact of the matter is, he cheated, got caught, and instead of being a man and admitting it, he denied it, continued to lie and tried to play the pity card.
So what “type” of person is Nick exactly? If Sonya, Webb, Conti and Erik Denmark are all known as cheaters too, then their reputations should also be damaged. I’m sure they lost the respect of other MLE eaters who witnessed each of their respective acts of cheating at the time they occurred.
