Here is a little more details about the Contest.

My name is Nick Papagorgio. I was a contestant in Wing Bowl 17. I am competing in a Wing Challenge in Wildwood NJ this Saturday at 2pm. The contest is fairly simple. It is a 3 person relay race. Each eater must eat 25 wings each. The first 3 person team to finish gets the prize. The prize is $2500 cash, so basically 833.33 a person. Last year I was in this competition with Squibb. He allowed one of his friends to be our third eater and he couldn’t complete the challenge and got us disqualified. So this year we had our team all set. It was going to be myself, Squibb and Hank the Tank. Well I get a text from Squibb last night that he is going to be competing on another team with Tiger Wings. Basically He did not think we would win with me and Hank and he is looking out for himself like the ASSHOLE he is. So this where I need your help. I need a 3rd eater. It does not cost any money to enter. All I need is someone to help us eat. Seeing how it is a sprint race and not endurance. I need a good eater to take the place of the Traitor Squibb. Please let me know if you or know of anyone that can help. I would love it if you could get one of the local pro eaters. That way would have a better chance of beating Squibb.

Of course Squibb is gonna compete with Tiger. Why would he put himself in a situation where he could possibly lose $800+ when he can compete with a better wing eater (in sprints) and be much more likely to win? Sounds to me like you were just trying to use Squibb to look our for yourself. You don’t use Squibb, he uses you, sorry. He’s won the last 2 wing bowls, how many have you won? I was at this contest last year and it wasn’t Sqiubb who couldn’t finish, it was your third teammate. Your statements are libel and are open to legal action by Squibb if he wants to pursue it in that way.

Your right it was our third team mate. Who was his friend. Squibb is out for him self and only himself which is fine. At least I post under who i am and not under anonymous. Which you misspelled!

Wow “ananymous” you are so dumb you couldn’t even spell anonymous correct. You are also dumb to think that any legal action can be taken against papagorgio. You are even more dumb to think that Squibb truly won the wing bowl this past year. I can’t wait for 2011 so the IFOCE can come back and dominate the wing bowl like they have in years past. Joey Chestnut owns Squibb.

Papagorgio: if i was confident in my ability i would offer my services to take down Squibb, Tiger, and whatever punk ass fraud of a teammate they have.

Nick, do you have video from last year?

Gotta say it was one of my favorite contests. That kid really fucked you over for not following the rules. But then again I’m sure we still would have won 😉

    Good luck this year bro..

Nick, of course hes looking out for number one, why wouldn’t he be? Respect is earned and i’m guessing through one way or another you didn’t earn his.

To the other anonymous, if I had a dime for every time I’ve seen someone retaliate against another in a forum by calling out their grammar…You can talk about English if you want, I’m sticking to eating. This is Eatfeats right?

If were gonna talk about Squibb, lets make it facts. Here’s a couple. Squibb won Wing Bowl 18 by a margin of 93 wings. First place in Wing Bowl 1 was 100 wings. Squibb’s MARGIN fell just 7 short of that. That’s also 3 short of Joey Chesnut’s record of 241. Here’s another, Squibb has eaten more wings than ANYONE, except Chesnut. This means all the IFOCE guys also. I can also remember Cataldi saying something along the lines of “Squbb ate more than Chesnut because the wings were bigger” So you can pull BS out of your a#$ all day long, but its still gonna be a bunch of $hit. It’s also not gonna change the fact that Squibb owns the game when it comes to long distance wing eating.

Paper champions, HAH! The numbers speak for themselves. 238 is 238 whether you put it on the news, web, paper, etc. You can’t manufacture that.

If he didn’t, he wouldn’t be pointing fingers, name calling, & talking ish. In the spirit of the game you should do this throw-down & show him first hand why you’re the Wing Bowl KING X2. you said: I can also remember Cataldi saying something along the lines of “Squbb ate more than Chesnut because the wings were bigger”

THAT IS A CROCK AS THE WINGS WERE EXACTLY THE SAME SIZE OVER THE PAST 3 YEARS SINCE THE NEW WING SPONSOR TOOK OVER. THEY WERE ALSO KEPT VERY WARM OVER THE PAST 2 YEARS WHEREAS CHESTNUT AND THE OTHERS ATE ICE COLD WINGS. THIS MAKES A HUGE DIFFERENCE AND WILL BE PROVEN WHEN THOSE GUYS ARE ALLOWED BACK IN THIS UPCOMING WING BOWL.

I NOT SAYING SQUIBB IS A FRAUD BECAUSE I FEEL HE IS A VERY GOOD EATER WITH LOTS OF POTENTIAL BUT LETS SEE WHAT HAPPENS IN JANUARY.

NICK, GET OVER THE FACT THAT SQUIBB WANTS TO WIN AND FOUND A BETTER TEAMMATE. THATS LIFE WHEN IT COMES TO COMPETITION AND MONEY. GREEDY – MAYBE, BUT THE GUY WAS HONEST WITH YOU ABOUT IT AND HE DOES HAVE SOME CRED TO DO IT.

    GOOD LUCK!

Yes i am an unknown person to many people. The issue at hand is Squibb jumped to a different team 3 days prior to the event. Last year it was Squibb who called me to be on his team. His friend screwed us over cause he couldn’t handle 25 wings. If he didnt feel that i was capable he wouldnt make the call. As far as a head to match up he would win. I dont eat professionally. It is a matter of integrity. I was raised with certain values. You don’t fuck your team over.

It is going to be a good contest. You have to remember it is a Sprint not an endurance. For anyone of the people commenting above with wing bowl. Any one who was in Wing Bowl knows there is alot of politics behind the scenes. they want people they know to be in it every year. I was still a part of the Best Entourage from Wing Bowl 18. I started a new job and did not have the time to dedicate to getting ready.

In the end people who look out for them selves end up getting what they deserve. Karma is a Mother Fucker!!!

Jon is a great wing eater, and his WB performance proves it! He seems like an honest guy with a very competitive spirit. That’s what it’s all about!

It’s a shame he can’t go to Buffalo in September. That would be a fantastic litmus test.

But if Joey and Koby both accept, and aren’t prohibited from entering, Wing Bowl next year, that will be another opportunity for him to prove his prowess against the two greatest male eaters of all time.

Jon, why don’t you bother with other foods?

Tiger Wings is a joke also. Tacky acronyms and poor performances against IFOCE eaters, that’s exactly who I would want on my team. GO NICK!

Dont sound like a guy with values to me. The junk ur talkin on him only proves u dont belong in OUR world.

Hey Eric- he keeps sayin hes not a comp eater and that the Squibb used him last yr as a team mate, but he registered here in 08? Shady man, this guys shady!!

First of all Papagorgio, u said above & I quote “My name is Nick Papagorgio. I was a contestant in Wing Bowl 17. I am competing in a Wing Challenge in Wildwood NJ this Saturday at 2pm.” If u were in Wing Bowl, competed in this contest last yr, & u’re competing again this year that would mean that u are in fact proclaiming urself to be a comp eater.

Second, since I am NOT friends with u or Squibb directly I can honestly say that I was there last yr & saw Squibb ask the judges if he could go even though ur third man was still chewing. They gave him the green light. So it actually ISN’T his fault or urs OR his friends that u didn’t win. It was the judges & BigWill’s team whining like u are now.

Third, u say “As far as a head to match up he would win. I dont eat professionally.” Either u do or u don’t! In the first comment u mention urself as a WB contender now ur saying u aren’t a professional eater? U can’t switch back & forth when it suits u.

U go on to say “Any one who was in Wing Bowl knows there is alot of politics behind the scenes. they want people they know to be in it every year.” So what ur saying is that the Wing Bowl is rigged? They want who they want & they manufacture their winners? That IS what ur implying. Im sure that the event staff of WB & 610 would love to hear that.

U followed that with “I started a new job and did not have the time to dedicate to getting ready.” Sounds like a load of excuses to me. U don’t see anyone else on here trying to come up with reasons for being beat or not qualifying do u? NO. Because we are REAL men who understand the game.

As for ur ending comment “In the end people who look out for them selves end up getting what they deserve. Karma is a Mother Fucker!!!” I couldn’t agree more. I can’t wait to see what happens to u for offending me, Squibb, the rest of the eaters on here, 610, Cataldi, & Wing Bowl.

“People with certain values” don’t operate the way ur acting now. Ur a wuss. U can judge me for having too much time on my hands to do this comment, but remember U ARE THE GUY who was correcting people’s spelling in the above comments. Get a life.

Wow. This got nasty since the last time I read it. Lol. A good old fashioned smack talk. I did notice that a lot of people are on here defending Jon Squibb. That to me says he’s a good person with “certain values”. Otherwise no one would be sticking up for him. I couldn’t help, but notice that anonymous @ 6:11am wrote THAT IS A CROCK AS THE WINGS WERE EXACTLY THE SAME SIZE OVER THE PAST 3 YEARS SINCE THE NEW WING SPONSOR TOOK OVER. Wings can never be the same size unless the are being grown in cookie cutters. THEY WERE ALSO KEPT VERY WARM OVER THE PAST 2 YEARS WHEREAS CHESTNUT AND THE OTHERS ATE ICE COLD WINGS. You make it sound like these guys were competing in the age of the dinosaurs. They weren’t shoving wing-cicles down their throats to be champions, they were doing the same thing every year. THIS MAKES A HUGE DIFFERENCE AND WILL BE PROVEN WHEN THOSE GUYS ARE ALLOWED BACK IN THIS UPCOMING WING BOWL. Only time will tell and we’ve got 7 months to wait & see. SOOOO there is NO point in referencing it now. Besides, Wing Bowl has nothing to do with a BBQ Fest where there a a few professional/competitive eats & a bunch of frat boys. No point in burning bridges & throwing stones in glass houses gentlemen. Play nice or take your balls & go home. Hehehe.

So i guess i am a competitive eater. From 2Tuns logic. I never stated that i am at the level on most of the eaters on this site. Just cause i registered my self on here does not mean i have to be a competitive eater. For the most part no one knows about the back story of what happened and how it all went down. Yes Squibb is a name that everyone knows from WB.

As far as last year. I was not surprised that we got DQ’d. Yes Big Will’s team did speak up. But Squibb’s boy should not of competed. If he was able to do the 25 wings we would of won. that fact of the matter he could not.
    e
third- Just because i was in WB does not make me a competitive eater. WB is the only event that I have done when it comes to a eating contest. Until last year when squibb called me up.

Fourth- No one said anything about WB being rigged! I just said there is poltics. You can call 610 and asked them. I turned them down for coming in studio to compete for the last wing off spot this past year. Mainly do to my job.

I will correct people grammar if they are going to come at me or hide behind the anonymous posting option. Just like you are coming at me. Or the people who are going to threaten me with a lawsuit. There are alot of people who love to talk trash and can take it. then there are people who talk trash but cant handle when some give it back.

So if you cant handle the talk. That is your issue. If you dont know me or squibb. why do you care. your the one who needs to get a life.

    @Tommy.

It’s not whining when you call someone out for not following the rules. I’m not calling out Squibb. If the judge told him to go, then fine, but it’s the judge that fucked them over by not following the rules.
Unlike some events, we complained at the contest and not on a message board 😉

Anna Nymity: Since you took my point out of context let me explain. They were the same damn wings every year. No cookie cutter needed however they were not bigger last year as somebody referenced Cataldi saying. It was a statement to make Squibb look as though he is much better than Chestnut.

The age of dinosaurs? No dope, the wings were kept in what we call “warmers” and that kept the wings hot for the competitors the past two years. If you know anything about wing eating, a wing that is warm or hot will have meat that comes off the bone much easier then the cold “frozen popcicles” that Chestnut and the other pros had to gnawl through in 2006, 07 & 08. Is that so hard to get through your thick skull?

You are right, it is not that far and in time, we will see who the best eaters are. Chestnut will dominate Squibb by more than 20 wings. There are also some other good localpros who may give Squibb a run for his money. If he finishes top 2 or 3, he has proven his greatness and deserves all the accalaides he gets. He is a nice guy and I wish him well, but do not make him to be the best until proven so. As the great Ric Flair once said, “to be the best, you have to beat the best.” Whoooooooo
