If Colin is so hell-bent on finding challengers, let him take his ass to New Orleans, instead of insisting challengers always come to him. ‘Cause he knows his ego would be cruisin’ for a bruisin’!

Judging from the article, Colin isn’t necessarily hell-bent on finding challengers, but the newspaper or contest is. That being said, as the defending champion, he has a right to participate in his home contest, at least until he is defeated. Sonya couldn’t beat him. Besides, it’s expensive to fly across the pond.
On another note, though Sonya’s good, she is not all that. Many people could beat her, both male and female, especially if they applied themselves.

You think theyre going to let Colin lose on his home turf sucking ousters from the shell. You cut your mouth to pieces doing that. Sonya’s not that good? Who else is going to eat 46 dozen oysters in 10 minutes stabbing them from a shell? Hmm? Hmm?

Rhonda, he already beat Sonya. Just because he’s looking for challengers doesn’t mean he has to face her again or anyone from MLE for that matter, especially if Sonya hasn’t challenged him. Give the guy a little credit instead of being defensive of Sonya. He beat her fair and square. Probably no one over here saw it coming or would have seen it coming if we’d known about it.
