The New York Post has an article about the Feast of San Gennaro terminating its eating contests. Its cannoli competition was probably the most famous eating contest in Manhattan. The article has quotes from Matt Pruznick, cannoli champion the previous two years, and Crazy Legs Conti, winner of the 2009 contest.

Thank God. Since Miki is in dental school now, can she please do something to make Andrew Krawczyk’s breath smell better? It’s gotta be prescription strength though, whatever happened in his mouth is not correctable with something you can pick-up at your local Target store.

Where does she get the money to pay for medical school? Surely the prize money she gets from the contests wont cover the expenses

7:51 Ever hear of student loans? You pretty much just have to have a heartbeat and a GED or higher previous education, and you can borrow like $120k no problem.
Gotta love America. Especially since we have decided to “forgive” many of these loans, essentially pushing more of a tax burden onto the real income earners/tax payers in this country.

you mean not *too smart, I think 🙂
Not saying Miki borrowed a bunch of money, and if she did, I’m not saying she won’t repay it. I’m just pointing out that in America, the ability to access and finance higher education is pretty easy for most people. Good for here for wanting to go to dental school, I think she is smart instead of thinking that MLE will be a source of income for the rest of her life…

How old is Miki? It is not so easy to receive a loan without some regular income to show that you can pay it or some assets. Those who go to school under 21 can do so through their parents income which has to be low to receive a loan. Yes, good for her for wanting to go to dental school.

I think she is 37 years old, maybe 38 now.
