Pete, Mark, Kevin, and the “Pounder” all did a great job today.
This was the first contest that I got into where I actually enjoyed the food!
The sandwiches were awesome. Though i have no effin idea how “Furious” Pete got down 17 of them?
All in all, I had a great time today. Also props to “MINI TIM” aka Bob “The Slob” Rauscheder, my little brother, who ate well today.
And as well, a good job of last minute emceeing by Bob “Killer” Kuhns.

One more thing. As hard as it was on me because of how fucked up my eating style is, I was impressed with the strict strict strict zero debris rule, I was eatin debris off the table off the seat and off my forehead. These guys kept it very very fare!

    F-Pete. You are the man.
Gimme a little bit and I’m gonna tread into the deep shark infested waters of eating challenges and go after your 2 minute banana record. I peeled and ate 6 bananas in just under 1 minute. But your 2 minute total of 18 (already peeled) is most definatley the mark to beat.

And is it just me, but I would like to see you in Japan in one of these effin MARATHONS that they call eating contests? I’d like to see you go up against Japans best and bring that sh!t back to the U.S.A., whoops I mean Canada.

Keep up the awesome stellar work Pete.

If Pete were in the IFOCE i would rank him around 11, 12 or possiblly 13 . If he went head to head with Erik the Red or Crazy Legs to determine the better eater, Pete would win hands down.

Pete would be somewhere between 4 & 8 in the dunking organization. It would depend on the food & the familiarality with it.

    I apologize.

I thought this was regarding Furious Pete.

    My bad.

Maurizio would be in the low to mid teens.

I don’t know if he’d beat Erik The Red, but he would beat Conti, who is ridiculously over ranked.

Joe, it was regarding Furious Pete not Maurizio. Conti’s mom wont appreciate what you just said. I have a strong feeling that if you went up against Conti one on one he would wax you. Can you eat 50 krystals? Can you beat him in hot dogs? Im not talking Conti 2002-2005 . Talking Conti 2008! The top 15 in the IFOCE would not have a problem beating you either. That is a fact!

Only top ten eaters in the mle could mess with furious pete he would destroy everyone else every time badly it would be nice to see him go head to head with hall hunt they are around the same range in eating ability

  11. Gentleman Joe said

    October 13, 2008 @ 8:07 am

Yes I can do 50 krystals. I think 24 in 2 min in my only attempt at that food item & that they changed the format to keep us out this year, prove that.

Oh are you talking about the same 2008 Conti who nearly lost to a reporter the other day??

Jason “Crazylegs” Conti is an inteligent, well spoken (best announcer the ifoce has),entertaining guy. He also happens to be a mediocre eater. Only on this blog would what i’ve just wrote be considered negative.

    I don’t agree w/aice’s rankings either.

In my opinion, based on aice’s rankings, there is someone outside of AICE’s top 20 that would beat Conti.

I have to disagree with Joe on this one. Believe it or not I USUALLY agree in whole with what he has to say about CE. Furious Pete is getting better at every table he sits at and I think he can already give the top fed eaters a run, and a serious one. He is faster than anyone I have EVER seen and he doesn’t break stride. He keeps powering the stuff down until the final whistle. I believe he does have the capacity to eat as much as the feds best. 17 of the Dickey’s sandwiches is an enormous amount period, not to mention in 8 minutes. I look forward to seeing him do 20 in Dallas at the finals. I hope I can get my ass in decent eating shape and choke down 15.

Great sandwiches btw! Top three of any contest food I have ever eaten. It was great to see all the usual suspects and meet some of the new up and comers. There wasn’t a person there that I didn’t enjoy meeting. The crowd was great!!!!

And before everyone starts bagging on me about my recent performances…..I am KEENLY aware that I am slipping. My table intensity is almost non existent. I am seriously considering semi retirement from CE. I will probably only do a couple of events a year after the Dickey’s finals. I am 38, the weight is harder and harder for me to keep off, I own my own businesses and health concerns are my main reasons for this consideration. I haven’t applied myself to CE for a couple of years now and CE and AICE deserves better than that.

No way I can compete with those guys in the duratition that they do…I haven’t tried any contests where I dunk food anyways. Nothing really to compare too…but I definetly don’t think I can compete with those ranks yet…give me time…I just started in April 🙂

Oooh, announcing. I like that. While “say what” probably meant it as an insult…I actually like the idea. I know it would come to me a lot easier than competitive eating.

I wonder what Arnie would think of me announcing an event.

Mark, your still a good eater and well respected in ce. To comment on Furious Pete I think he would do just fine in the IFOCE along with some other AICE eaters. The only difference is some rules, how would Joey,Pat,and Tim do eating picnic style rules. It’s true the IFOCE numbers are higher but what about the amount of debris left in water and on the table, and then you got the chipmunking also. Sort of makes you wonder who is the best. Well to be honest with you I have to lean toward Furious Pete for a couple of reasons: 1. Noone has come close to him yet. 2. he eats picnis style so there is no food in any water.
And this is for you Gentlemen Joe, If Pete is 4th – 8th in the Ifoce where would you put yourself because your still a good eater and I would have you in there as well

Yes I believe that Pete is as good as Kobi, Joey, Pat and Shoudt. He is very modest and probably sensible about his own abilities but as he has stated he has only just begun. Not only does he lack table experience but he also doesn’t fully realize the talent that he has. There are stand outs in CE and he is clearly one of them.

Prior to Pete hitting the scene everyone was clammering about Goose. Goose will tell you himself that he can’t touch Czerwinski. Goose has a very intimidating table toughness and I respect that. Pete is a raw talent who hasn’t been challenged. From the way he carries himself I bet he has an inner beast that he can unleash when things get tough. He has another gear that no one has seen as of yet.

Everyone knows that the top feds train their asses off to be at the top of their game. Pete states that he doesn’t train for CE and I believe him. He is a health conscious person and even if he ate against the fed’s 4 horsemen and finished 5th he is still the best untrained CE competitor out there. It will take some monumental training by some AICE

Joe……don’t take what I said personally. I respect your views on CE and yes I feel that Pete is as good as Kobi, Joey, Pat and Shoudt. He is very modest and probably sensible about his own abilities but as he has stated he has only just begun. Not only does he lack table experience but he also doesn’t fully realize the talent that he has. There are stand outs in CE and he is clearly one of them.

Prior to Pete hitting the scene everyone was clamoring about Goose being on the level of the fed top three. I imagine that the Lion that he can unleash at the table will make Goose look like a kitten. (no offense Tom…you know that). The bottom line is that Pete is SCARY good and he merits the respect of the entire CE community.

Everyone knows that the top feds train their asses off to be at the top of their game. Pete states that he doesn’t train for CE and I believe him. He is a health conscious person and even if he ate against the fed’s 4 horsemen and finished 5th he is still the best untrained CE competitor out there. It will take some monumental training by some AICE eaters to catch him. I don’t see his dominance being challenged any time in the near future with the exception of a “technique food”. AICE eaters, for the most part, just aren’t people who train to get better at the table. Pete will be at the top for a long, long time.

As the prizes get larger (yes those things are in place) in AICE, you will see more and more fed eaters making their way to AICE tables. You will see what happens when some of the top ten fed eaters go up against Pete and the rest of AICE’s elite. A few have had the misconception that they could just waltz up to an AICE table and take home the cash. We all know the outcomes of those ventures.

    Good eatin’

This 11:08 post sounds very much like Rhonda Evans. Maybe she wants us to think she has a social life because she usually posts in the morning or afternoon. “Yes i believe that Pete is as good as Kobi Joey, Pat . Sensible about his own abilities.Intimidating table toughness. Oh lord give me a break! Prior to Pete hitting the scene =====. Top feds train, 4 horsemen, . Shut the hell up and get yourself a real life. Even Furious Pete doesnt take this shit as serious as you do. He even mentioned once “Its only food for godsake” . I just read this post and i truly dont know whether to laugh or cry .

You might be the only living person on this planet that worries about hurting Joe’s feelings It seems odd considering there are many on this site that would take sheer pleasure in going out of their way to insult him.

I know I shouldn’t answer the question posed by “Robert”, but I’ll do so & get ridiculed for it via additional postings.

It is more than reasonable to put me between 8 & 10.

Chip exists about as much as Oleg does.

Hall & Juliet are…not fully known quantities.

    If Conti’s at 11, I can’t be worse than 10.

I faced him a bunch of times & the worst I did that I can recall is a tie…w/both of us out of the $$$.

That said, I’ve also beaten Humble Bob, (& never lost) though I am not claiming I still can do so.

I’ve also defeated Erik The Red. (& never lost)

Can I lose to some between 8 & 25? Absolutely! We all have good & bad days & foods we handle better than others.

In general, I believe I would win more than I would lose to those eaters. Just like I occasionally finish behind those ranked behind me in AICE.

    I rest my case.

BTW, Booker who isn’t ranked, but appears to be competing again, would be above me as well.

Didn’t mean anything personal about that last post. I was just curious where you had yourself placed in this. I think you and Pete could be in the top 5 or 6. It just seems that just because you eat for AICE you looked at as just an average eater..
