Peter's Clam Bar will hold a clam eating contest in Island Park, NY on August 14 awarding $1000/$500/$250.

    They still hold this event? Sponsor is super cool but i get sick to my stomach with the mere memories of those clams baking in the sun while those dopes with the straw hats recite their long and winding bore of a monologue prior to the contest

    How can one forget Ryan Nerz delaying the contest 5yrs ago waiting for Sonya Thomas to show up while the clams were fermenting under the sun. When the event was near conclusion , Sonya shows up throwing a temper tantrum in the middle of ongoing traffic nearly getting run over by a tractor trailer

    Yeah, it was an ugly scene that year when Sonya showed up late. Every eater puked their guts up within an hour afterward.

    One comp eater who name i wont mention during the first Peters clam contest was having a seafood meal after the contest with food spitting out of his mouth while he was talking with some of the other eaters at the table Yuuuuck

    Saliva and pieces of crabmeat were abundant flying in every direction possible. Some of it came from Booker and Wild Bills wife
