    It is not for amateurs only. All wing bowl contestants received an email from WIP inviting them to participate in this contest. Lame 2nd & 3rd place prizes from a cheap owner who stole his waitresses tips for years.

    The email read:

    Hi Everyone,
    You are receiving this email as you have previously competed in a Wing Bowl and we wanted to make sure you were aware of an eating contest that will be taking place next week. If you have any questions or interest, let me know.

    What: Chickie`s and Pete`s Crab Fry Eating Contest

    When: Wednesday, July 13

    Where: Play 2 at Chickie`s and Pete`s, South Philadelphia

    Time: Registration starts at 4pm with the eating beginning at 6pm.

    We will take up to 30 contestants to compete in the Crab Fry Eating Contest. First 30 to register prior to 6pm will get to compete.

    Prizes: Winner will receive $1,000 and “Crab Fries for Life”, Runner-Up will receive “Crab Fries for a Year”, 3rd Place will receive 2 “Wing Bowl 25 VIP Passes”

    How the Contest Works: we will have 4 5 minute rounds. All Crab Fries will be weighed prior to eating. The winner from each round will be entered into the finals. The contestant who eats the most Crab Fries in the final round will win the $1,000 and Crab Fries for Life

    Most wingbowl contestants are by definition amateurs, some are just very good amateurs
