The comedian Martin Mull once said that writing about music is like dancing about architecture. True, but dancing about architecture would be more entertaining than PEOPLE EATING ON THE RADIO!

Rich, Chip, Humble, and Eric didn’t make the first cut.

Rich out, BS about Sonya losing 20 wings, everyone knew she wouldn’t be given a shot, I lost 25 last year. I also competed against G Jerry at the Glassboro qualifier. He is very good, and more importantly a clean eater.

sounds like the “locals” upped the ante this year.
it’s a great “strategy” to basically kill yourself in round 1 to get some heavy hitters out so early.

That sucks that G Jerry pissed away a 30 plus wing lead. Would have been sweet for Philly to take both cars. Clearly the break, and capacity caught up with the non pros.

Congratulations to repeat winner Joey and Pat B for finishing 1-2. Their performance was amazing! Even more astonishing is Gentleman Jerry’s performance. He might even beat Wingador next year. He must have gotten credit for virtually every wing bone on his plate as being fully eaten.
Sonya lost credit for 20 wings in the first round alone. So she probably lost close to 40 wings overall. I know all eaters lost wings, however, though with a bias bent!
One thing’s for sure, it was not meant for Sonya to win, as the crowd simply abhors her, and their sentiment spilled over to the judges.
I was absolutely shocked that Humble and Chip didn’t make the top 10 … what am I saying … no I’m not. I believe Bob might have just had a bad day, but Chip probably had about 20 wings deducted from his totals also.

it’s a damn shame sonya got 20 deducted… otherwise she’d have been equal to Joey after round 2.
now we’ll have to hear from all the people who think it’s a fix.
Just think… Joey Chestnut was in 9th after round 1. Just think what would’ve happened had he not made round 2.
