The Sportscaster Chronicles blog has a podcast of an interview with Nathan’s announcer Paul Page Part 1, Part 2. The interview is mainly about Page’s coverage of the Indianapolis 500, but there is a brief amount about Nathan’s at the start.
Georga, Richard, and Crazy Legs do a better job of announcing than Paul Page. (I hope he doesn’t read this; I’d hate to hurt his feelings … but it’s the truth.)
No you’re “Beautiful” Brian, Brian. Why would you even need to ask that question? Pros such as you shouldn’t need to feel that your reputation needs validation from others.
And keep in mind that an accolade or two for others does not constitute a smack in the face of those who were not mentioned in a specific instance. It’s too bad when folks think that way. It’s just that (and perhaps I missed it; I am human) I’ve never seen you broadcast on TV in the last few years. If I had I would no doubt have mentioned you.
As I was watchin Jeopardy tonite the final jeopardy category was Sports Legends. Right away I could only think of Brian Seiken and Moses Lerman because those two are such giants.
