    Brian & Kevin would have been make to look like two fools if they decided to compete. I bet Isle of Capri wouldnt even provide a cheap room for the ex pickle champs. A few intro words of respect to both eaters just to make it look good then its off to the massacre. Brian & Kev both of you are smart cookies

    Wrecking ball maybe you have not been on the circuit long enough to know about a word called RESPECT. Some eaters abide by that rule when a friend is competing for a title and they realize that they can more than likely overpower that friend at the table. Janus sat out canoli for Crazy Legs as an example .

    What is really sad is that OJ Rifkin does not realize that for every slander remark about someone on this site , he loses another fan. Case in point the remark about Rockies girl. Maybe you should come to realize that insensitive shit like that might hurt someone feelings.     You people act like this crap is sooo important, no one cares if a has been is or isn’t at a contest. Don’t you get it its all about $$$$$$$$$$$ nothing else matters. There is no honor, there is no respect maybe a few may be friends and there is some consideration and why dosen’t x sit out every contest his roommate can’t get in or dosen’t want to get in.The eaters are cattle with the prize bulls and heffers getting the attention, thats the way it is and will be in N.Y.

    IFOCE will keep the current pickle records on the Records tab – they’ll just make a “Pickles, Kosher, Long Form” record if the time is different from five or six minutes. I don’t understand the difference between “Baked Beans” and “Pork and Beans”, however. They’re both six pound records, and I think both were originally set at the 84 Lumber contests (before Micah crushed the Pork and Beans record). So why have two?

    My mistake – the Baked Beans record is six pounds, 12 ounces more than the 84 ounces of Pork and Beans Micah ate. There’s actually three “beans” records (well, four if you count the Green Bean record) on the Records tab.

    Brian is committed, some might say obsessed, with his website. Sonya is committed to being the best eater she can be as well as helping others in the process. Everyone in competitive eating does it for their own reasons. That includes those who do it for notoriety regardless of money. Don used to do that, probably lots of others. Once money became part of the whole shebang, things changed, a lot. There are still many people who would and do do contests for the enjoyment and comraderie. They do not seem to feel a need to put others down here or at the table. Respect is a word thrown around but rarely shown by example. It is natural to be jealous and say that it is unfair when a Joey gets big bucks from Pepto-Bismol and a few make almost all of the money. Probably, that isn’t going to change. Eaters who do not like it can walk away from MLE. The rest is what it is.
