Matt Stonie should be on suspension along with Joey for their little pizza stunt.

Obviously neither Stonie nor Joey were suspended. If MLE did not like what they did, they would have been told and who is to say that they did not get permission. Sorry that JamminJoe left MLE though, do not know the circumstances. If the rules are not applied for all, that is really not kosher.

Yes, and it leaves a rather Dill-like flavor in your mouth.

MLE is, has been, and will be about entertainment first and applying/enforcing “rules” amongst the eaters equally second and of really little importance. MLE as a business is run very much like the wrestling WWE business the “rules” are manipulated as needed to promote interest. Lets face it its fake to some degree, yes they have eaters who can eat, but issues for example involving the manipulation of who may compete at a particular event taint the credibility of this organization. Both WLOCE and MLE are similar at this game of fraud but MLE is just alot better at it. Favoritsim is reality in CE if you get it your happy and stay quiet if you do not you are the squeeky wheel and feel cheated.

Just to clear up the whole topic of the pizza, the truth is that we didn’t have permission to do it. In fact it was a last minute type of thing. I can only speak for myself but I’m almost positive neither of us woke up that morning planning to eat a large pizza, it had other motives aside just doing it for fun. That doesn’t appeal myself or Joey from it, and again, i can only speak for myself, but I did get a call from the MLE and they demanded that I explain myself and reminded me it was a blatin breach of contract on my part.

I just wanted to let all you know that I’m not getting any royal or special treatment with breaking the rules.

That was a dumb move, Matt, because now they look at you as a guy who doesn’t listen to them, doeesn’t honor his commitments, and deep down can’t be trusted.

Proud of what you accomplished once again OJ? Burying another major league eater? If the pizza challenge wasn’t brought to MLE attention by one of your loyal fans , they wouldn’t have known about it.

It must have been something to hear, Mike A. schooling young Matt on the do’s and don’ts of the MLE. I’m sure Joey didn’t get a phone call.

Matt, your responding to those who do not merit a response (at least people in this forum) further depicts admirable qualities about you. So, okay, you broke a rule. You admit it, you got reprimanded, and you’re moving on.

The positive aspect of admitting your mistake, especially in an open, mud-slinging forum like this, from which you have nothing to gain, FAR, FAR outweighs any negative ramification.

If the truth be known, I doubt ANY MLE eater has lived exactly within the bounds of the contract. Some excursions/violations are known about, but most are not, and absolutely no MLE eater is in a position to throw even a pebble at someone else.

Matt that’s a stand up thing to admit to and it sounds like MLE took you to the woodshed pretty hard. Understand however, it’s probably just the MLE scaring the new kid so he doesn’t screw up again. I just wanted to make sure you understand why you really have to think about when you decide spur of the moment to display your exceptional eating talents. I know what you did sounds trivial, but someone from let’s say a major pizza company will get a hold of that video and the company will have to evaluate their relationship with the MLE and the investment they put into MLE eaters. If next year a major pizza company decides not to do an event, your spur of the moment challenge could be their justification. Then all eaters get hurt. It’s all about product loyality. That’s why Kobi finds he cannot get major corporate contracts. Corporations have seen how Kobi treated Nathan’s and they know he’s not a good risk. So, keep your chin up and have fun in Thailand. You’ve got a great future ahead. BTW, I love EATFEATS but here’s not the best place to go to the confessional and air inside MLE stuff. Talk to other trusted eaters. They’re too many people on this site that don’t have your best interest. Comment here if you must, but stay anonymous.

12:37: You are hardly in a position to point at anyone. Actually, you don’t even merit a response, but I’m in a good mood.

Matt broke a rule that he knew was a rule. He’s an adult. Adults should be able to abide by rules they agree to. It’s not hard, and it’s not too much for MLE to ask. If you don’t like the rules, take a hike.

Good advice Anony 2:14, since you don’t like the rules take a hike. Matt made a mistake, a stern talking to and a commitment to never do it again was sufficient. He didn’t try to hide, stood up and took it like a man. Now, MLE and Matt are all good. There is no rule that you must be kicked out, any penalty is up to the MLE. If any other eater got kicked out, well that’s what MLE felt was appropriate. Wearing disguises, aliases, well no one like to think they’re being made a fool of and who wants that type of person in their organization. In those cases you’ll probably get kicked out. Hey the MLE can kick out or retain whoever they want. For example, if you Anony 2:14 were part of the MLE I would probably kick you out on the sole basis of being a jerk.

mle is a business, as a business their rules will change to the situation. My demise from that organization was fully my responsibility. They are the ones who decide who belongs in their organization. Just as matt was warned I was also. I had made a commitment to a local business to do a contest and rather than break that commitment I chose to break my commitment with mle (although I had done unsanctioned stuff in the past with no discussion). I believe Matt is a stand up guy and he knows what will happen if he breaks the rules. I also think that you are unlikely to see anyone doing any harm to mle’s brand.
