Registration for Atlantic City crawfish tomorrow
IFOCE.com announces that registration for the crawfish eating contest that will be held at the Showboat Casino in Atlantic City on February 24 will open tomorrow at 2pm eastern.
The contest has yet to be listed on the IFOCE contests list or the casino’s events page.
updateCrawfish notices the contest information has now been posted. The contest will start at 2pm and prizes have yet to be determined.
An expanded disclaimer appears at the bottom of the contest page, granting the IFOCE the right to reject any entrant and change any term of the contest.

The disclaimer was attached to three of the last four contests last year. The Garlicky greens contest, and the two pizza contests.

Why is OJ Rifkin so interested in reporting this eating stuff if he isnt getting paid for it. Certainly is a time consuming hobby if you ask me. By making sure his site is one of the top three in the search engines guarantees nothing in regard to traffic. Hey All, I entered,see if i make it in,crawfish is good! – at 8pm tonight im doing an eating challenge for the Houston Chronicles Video Blog, im gonna try and eat a Bacon Explosion (look it up,its pretty funky,lol) its basically 2lbs of sausage rolled up and 2lbs of bacon wrapped around it, B-B-Q’ed and B-B-Q sauce on it,yummy! we will see what happens,its not a timed event,just a see if i can finish it thing (and yes i have permission,for those of you wondering) my mom said it was cool, Have A Nice Day 🙂

NO MORE BACON EVER!!! – man i almost ate all of that thing last night im so pissed,it was 3.5 lbs and i ate 3 1/4, I got to that point where i knew one more bite and it was gonna be a “Bacon Explosion” for sure, sucks – the bacon was the worst after awhile (yuck), but whateveri have a record for a day i guess, haha – and i did have some hot girls cheering me on and getting me water, so thats always a plus – Have A Nice Day 🙂

Good luck everyone. Wish I could be there because crawfish are pretty yummy. If they are all in the shell, this will definitely be more of a crawfish peeling/meat extraction contest then an eating contest (because nobody can get full on crawfish as there is very little meat involved). Anyway, I think there will be a lot of opportunities for lower ranked eaters to beat higher ranked eaters, if they have superior crawfish “shucking” skills. So I’m excited to see the results!

I haven’t seen The Widow’s name as one of the possible entrants, but anytime hand speed is involved in a contest she excels … if she goes (i.e. lobster X 2, oysters X 2). I hope she was selected to attend.
If so, I sort of think she will be fairly competitive. Actually, for those taking pics, if you’re not using a digital camera, make sure your film is high speed because her hands will otherwise come out blurred.
That’s my one-and-only comment of the week.

Do your homework anonymous @ 10:14. Nasty Nate is a good eater who is highly ranked with the IFOCE. He appeared in quite a few contests including a liitle one in Coney Island on July 4. From what I hear, this guy is called Nasty for a reason.

Nate is a good guy and a friend of mine.One of the few that is not afraid of going head first into an eating challenge whereas others give me all kinds of pussy excuses as to why they avoid them when we all know the real reason is they are afraid they will look bad if they dont complete it. They call him Nasty Nate for a reason but it’s nobody business,
