    Crazy Legs probably cheated when he beat Rich at Krystals. Legs will lose in Biloxi. If Pete is there the Locust might beat him as well. On a good day he can eat 36+. I think Nathans nasty taste might affect Pete’s performance. Anyone who knows competitive eating knows Rich is a dangerous opponet. He has beat every ranked eater except Kobe at some point in his career.

    Crazy Legs is not a cheat. Some eaters push the “prechewing” envelope more than others. It’s not hard to swallow a near-dissolved “Krystal.” That’s why I abhor contests that allow dunking. Such events make accurate judging a near impossibility, and it hurts the more strictly-disciplined (honest?) eaters. (That’s why I maintain that Erik “The Red” is a more talented eater than several who are ranked above, given credit for eating more Krystals than, him.)

    Rich is an absolute legend—-one of the greatest of the greats. But I think even he would probably deny that he could eat 36+ HDBs in 10 minutes—-low 30s, yes, but not mid-30s.

    For reasons I alluded to in the first paragraph, HDBs are a much more accurate indicator of talent, versus Krystals. Eaters can’t swallow dogs whole, whereas Krystals are drank, not chewed. The meat “patty” in a Krystal might as not even be there.

    If I had to choose but one food to rank eaters, HDBs is perhaps the best, even with the dunking, but with a few exceptions.

    Swallowing krystals, at least keeping up that kind of pace, is not as easy as it looks! I certainly haven’t figured it out yet.

    In the ten minute Rich will only eat about 25+ but be warned most of his buns will be mixed in water.Iask any eater who competes against him to make sue the judges check the water annd the floor around him like Juliett Lee ..Leg dont have a chance if they dont

    No rich and no pete……take that to the bank. Rhonda maybe a true test would be ordinary hdbs but the dogs in the Nathan’s contests aren’t the same otc you get at a Nathan’s…..also take that to the bank.

    It’s a no brainer that Lefevre wont be in biloxi. The contest is set up for Crazy Legs to win . He gets the heads up from the office as to who is competing there before he even thinks of plucking down one dime for airfare to Old Miss

    I’d be very, very careful playing around with Brian Subich’s name. This is an example of how people seem to “grow balls” (and get stupid) in cyberspace.

    Though he seems to be an in-control, easy-going guy, I would not want to make the man angry. Brian could wear you out with little effort.
