A commenter noticed the MLE top 50 has changed. Ron Koch has returned at #38 and Tracy Goode has been removed following his retirement.

    Everyone ranked 38 and below last time has dropped one rank to make room for Koch.

    I was unaware of this until just now and was about to argue Tracy should be ranked higher than Andrew Kogutkiewicz, based on St. Elmo’s.

    Koch deserves to be back in the rankings Whether it’s an incentive for him to continue competing is another story. I wonder if El Toro is jealous?

    So Ron and El Toro do not get along. But does Ron get along with Rich? These Las Vegas relationships are so complex for me to understand.

    I bet Las Vegas has the best competitive eater per capita:

    Miki, Ron, Goose, Carlene, Rich, El Toro (and Juan formerly as well)

    At least Seiken is now the 3rd elder statesman behind Lefevre and Koch but rumor has it he is older than the both of them. Koch should have been ranked higher than 38

    Who are the oldest active competitive eaters? “Active” means you are currently ranked (unless you have filed official retirement papers) or have done a contest or challenge or stunt in the past year. This is a draft list I have compiled:

    In all the years Ive been with MLE how many times except for a contest have we been out together? Maybe 2.. So why would I want to now ?
