Joe, great job, knew you would pull through.

Ian, great finish last year, and improving on that is nothing to put down.

Josh, out of no where with an amazing start, congrats.

Jill, very impressed. Keep it up.

    Thanks Carey.

    Nice meeting you North Pole.

Anyone care to break my stones about barely beating Jabber Jaws??

This one was much more difficult than at Andy’s.

The Strawberries were much firmer than last year.

Like pickles, my jaw strength was gone about half way through.

Seperate issue: I did not choose Pumpkin Pie for the showdown w/Goose.

I did have some very minor input as to the time involved.(If it was up to me it would have been how quickly we eat 1 pie; against Goose I might have made it no hands, even though I dislike compEATing that way)

If I were to choose, it would be 2 minutes of Chef One Dumplings.

Joe, I’ve always maintained that you do quite well with firm foods.

I am just now returning from the AICE Web side reading about Karen “Seed Sucker” Clark. She’s a real up-and comer. Karen, you did a fantastic job with those strawberries–3.9 lbs in 5 minutes. But honey, you may want to consider changing that moniker.

You don’t want the world to recognize you as the seed-sucking sensation … Joe, maybe. 🙂

Jumby- The strawberries tasted find and were more firm this year despite higher totals. I think we are all getting a better, more familiar feeling with them and the totals next year will be even better assuming they are at least as they were this year. However, for me, the more inconsistent the food is for me the worse I tend to do unless I REALLY like it. This might be the same for Tim and Bob, just sayin’….

Anyway, great contest and good job to Joe as always. And Joel, Jill and Josh while I’m at it. Josh seems like a nice sport and seems to know what needs to be done in this game. I look forward to competing against him and F.Pete sometime this summer.

Thanks Carey. We both know you should have been there..

Dave- glad to see the videos and pics turned out well. It is all appreciated!

Would SOMEONE, please, challenge Joe to another dumpling contest?!?!

If Karen “Seed Sucker” Clark changed her name then her whole entourage would have to change thier shirts, hats, and everything else that they customized to support her. She had a real nice sized cheering section and seemed to be a crowd favorite.

Ian – glad you liked the pictures. Other folks put the videos out there, so that is real cool that other folks are uploading them too. I’m hopefully going to get some out there today…(Not real happy with the conversion to the PC, so I’m going to try another way to get a better quality picture.)

I’d challenge Joe to a dumpling contest, but I think he would still find a way to win if he was blind folded, arms tied behind his back, hung upside down, and taped his mouth shut.
