No sponsors, no connections, no real talent at eating, no name, no experience. Hey Ryan sign me up! Hey Mr. Restaurant owner, I want you to pay me money to do a contest, all the money is going to me and the eaters, and you sir will get nothing of any real value out of it. In fact the day after the contest, we may do another event at your local restaurant’s competition. Do we have a deal? It never ceases to amaze me when these young kids with no real experience at anything except having eaten a couple of plates at their local Denny’s and suddenly they are the experts of in the business of competitive eating. Maybe he should go into partnership with Scott Bickel.

Well, that sure seems hard to work out. I’m working on something similar in Spain, but it seems harder to archieve at USA. One thing is clear, it does have to take restaurants/companies into account. You can’t really focus on the eaters alone. The relation between restaurants and eaters is more like that of Nike and Usain Bolt that it is between Usain Bolt and the city or stadium he is running at. The restaurant is not the stadium, but the sponsor. So they do have to give them something back if they want them to get interested in their federation. It doesn’t have to be stated on a contract, they don’t have to drop the sponsor name or bring branded food to wherever they go, as if they were a mobile fake ad like those you can already watch on TV etc. But some loyalty and valuable, honest and genuine content or publicity should be given to them.

    Best of lucks.

Ryan is on the right path. Sheas are money makers and the only eaters that make money are the top 10. Waste of time for anyone else competing. Anyone who still thinks its cool just to rub elbows with joey and pat needs a real life

Juliet is by far the best known woman in all of competitive eating.

Brian, in his interview with Juliet and Sonya, made it known that in his opinion, Juliet was the best. Brian Seiken is a legend, so how can anyone disagree with him? His insight into the game of competitive eating is better than anyone I know!!!!

Juliet should be up for Rookie of the Year in 2012. That should help her cause for top female in the World!

Juliet eats better in 10 minutes and 10 seconds than anyone else in a 10 minute contest. Her “Start early and finish late” is a better motto than Ben Frankin’s “early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise”.
