Sonya denied Famous Famiglia slot

Sonya Thomas’ most recent update to her website reports that she did not receive a slot to the Famous Famiglia pizza contest despite signing up on-line soon after registration opened.

The contest press release, available on the Famous Famiglia news page, is dated September 11 and lists several expected entrants even though registration officially opened on September 15.

    They do this to everyone. Kong think real hard did you bitch about something to the sheas? This is about spite and revenge and nothing more. Sonya bailed out of krystals they lost money or it made someone look bad so sad to admit but this is her reward Anony you asshole , standby means the same as your out .

    Toro is correct. They are people with pathetic power. Once you diss Sonya its just a matter of time before the ifoce becomes a dead issue. If they think Juliet Lee is going to replace her they are more pathetic than i thought they were.

    I have said nothing I can think of, but at some point I piss off everyone. The simple fact is I signed up after a few others…Sometimes I get in, sometimes I don’t. I can’t imagine she is getting blackballed for what happened at Krystals, but then again I still think Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone, and we did land on the moon. So I might not be the best person to make judgment calls like that.

    If she is tired of eating and walking away, then so be it. We all will walk away from this sport sooner or later, the difference is she will leave a foot print that most of us will never be able to fill.

    This is only speculation, but i would guess that Sonya was excluded from pizza because of a likely request for, either travel expenses or an appearence fee for Krystals.

    They probably have more than one major eater & Juliet, who to the CASUAL fan is interchangeable w/Sonya. (The huge black guy, the huge white guy, the face painter, dread lock guy, little asian dude, tiny asian woman) Draw your own conclusions as to who is who, & who can be perceived as who.

    That is total bullshit Joe. You mean to say as long as they have one asian female that can eat a substancial amount of food , then two’s a crowd and they dont need Sonya any longer? That implies that Sonya’s entire career isnt worth a plugged nickle in the IFOCE and its all about putting on a circus more than anything else

    This is off topic but i am concerned with the whereabouts of stinky miernicki. He hasnt competed in anything since Nathans hot dog qualifier in Philly. My instincts lead me to believe that he is in cohoots with brad sciullo who is giving him advice on how to enter an aice contest wearing a disguise while using a fake name

    Its revenge those Shea boys want on poor lilole Sonya. Shame on them, she is an icon, a stomach staple in CE , she is the Miranda Preistley of CE, all must bow….just pay that woman her money. Where is the MONEY???? Aperance FEEs Travel, massages, fashion shoots, 4star restaurants!!!! Nothing less than she deserves. She is the Wife of CE, now a Widow , and she want HALF!!! “The lil asian girl who can beat the big guys” thats what people want. When is everyone going to learn????     All the Shea’s have to do is show the timestamps on the competitors entries. List them on a page that shows who has entered so far, very easy to do for a web page. Sure it may open up a few concerns with who enters a contest and when, but it would also show who will be there without having to guess so much.

    But in the end, it is up to the Sheas and the sponsors as to who will be there.

    Wow all of sonya’s links from her site link to page not found. Wouldnt it be strange if Lerman, BB and Sonya site all pull the plug at the same time. Looks like IFOCE is headed to hell . Losing SOnya is like losing your commander in chief .

    While Sonya might not be one of Major League Eating’s top two or three eaters anymore, her star still shines with unwavering magnitude. She’s little. She’s female. She’s attractive. She’s the greatest female eater in the universe. She’s in great demand, perhaps in greater demand on her own than with those greedy, vampire-like puppeteers who suck you dry and then discard you like week-old trash. If Sonya leaves their ranks I think she would continue to eat competitively, and that would cut the IFOCE to the quick. She is a bonafide one-person show. Let them have the rest, because all things considered, Sonya is the best.

    If i was confirmed for pizza i would have gladly given my spot to Sonya without hesitation. I mean what the hell am i going to accomplish besides hoping that i would finish 9th . I doubt she would have accepted because with her stature she should not even have to register . The last time she closed down her site it was because of the controversy with Humble Bob and meatballs. I think everyone knew it was temporary and she needed to cool off but this i dont know. Denying Sonya Thomas a spot in an IFOCE event is a risky venture.
