The NY Daily News has a report on yesteray's weigh-in for Nathan's finalists claiming that Sonya Thomas was absent due to an undisclosed illness.

    Sonya is probably one of the few eaters in the top 10 who will sit it out in protest over Seiken being dropped from the rankings. Its amazing how people can treat others like pure shit after all those years of dedication and loyalty yet received little if any media coverage , or one red cent except for a quarter for the parking meter in May 2003 . No remorse whatsoever and all he asked was to be ranked accordingly #32 . But then again is it any surprise the way they treated others the same who stayed loyal to them while making them loads of dough?

    Why do they even bring Sonya’s name up? She’s not number 1. If she decides not to go to a stupid publicity event than that’s her right. She is not the face of IFOCE now, Miki is — Where is Sonya’s belt?
