I have noticed that nobody likes to comment when the same people over and over and over are in the news, especially when the questions they get asked are repeated over and over. I am starting to wish that Joey, Pat, Bob, Tim, Legs, Denmark, Badlands, Juliet, and Sonya would all be forced to retire. It is just too boring seeing and hearing about them over and over and over. Nobody should be permitted to eat at the Nathans Finals longer than five successive years. I would rather see eaters like Wild Bill, Yasir, Seiken, Larell Marie, and Big Sexy than the same old faces all the time. Plus all the eaters who eat at the finals each year take it for granted like they are owed something every year. Let lesser known eaters appear for a while. They would appreciate it more and it would be refreshing to watch.

Shake Things Up has some good points but should consider that many people who read these articles do not know much about competitive eating. The die-hard fans are here on eatfeats which probably doesn’t have that large a readership. Fans who are here all know what is written in that article so of course that becomes boring.

You are right Hmm. I guess if people feel like that they should find another sport for a few years.

Shake Things Up: If anyone wants to go to Nathan’s it’s pretty simple — qualify. Forced retirement makes no sense. Why would you retire your top competitors to satisfy people aren’t that good. I’m tired of seeing the Yankees, Patriots, Red Wings, in their respective championships. Maybe they should let the Cubs, Eagles, and the Wild in the big games?
