During the interview, at 13:50, Tim says there are a couple of MLE eaters who are known to cheat, and everyone watches out for them. He doesn’t mention any names. May I ask who these eaters are?

At least he’s smart enough to realize it’s detrimental to his health unlike a few others in their advanced years

It’s ok FBTS. You guys are still young. You need more experience, but you will become better as the years go by.

It’s detrimental if you train as hard and long as he did. It’s the risk most eaters are willing to take in order to achieve greater numbers. Not training or practicing will not produce earth shattering results, but it will prevent burnout and keep you in the game a lot longer.

Crazy Legs Conti has legally changed his name from Jason Conti to Crazy Legs Conti. It’s on his official driver’s license.

Sounds like the Locust is praising the gospel of one Dr. Schmellkin

4:10, what he is saying, I believe, is that you get out of competitive eating what you put into it. Natural talent will only get you so far in short contests which require speed over endurance.

He also mentions choking as a real danger of home training. Locust, choking is something that can happen to anyone who practices, even someone who doesn’t train as often as Tim and others do/did. He wasn’t just talking about gastroparesis as something to worry about.

I heard that Sonya was a big-time cheater too. Richard Lefevre too (see Las Vegas qualifier this year), where he was still eating hot dogs well over a minute after the contest ended).
