Opponents of competitive eating are maintaining a facebook page titled "Stop Eating Contests". The page has been up almost 2 years and has obtained 30 "likes".

    Good luck with that. As Rich Shea pointed out over a decade ago, eating contests are probably the oldest form of competition, having been around since the cave man era.

    The chance of stopping such competitions during this millenium is smaller than winning at Powerball.

    Rather than actually doing something to help the people they’re so worried about, they want YOU to stop doing something. Yeah, whatever.
