Takeru Kobayashi apparently returning to Japan

It appears Takeru Kobayashi will be moving to Kyoto, Japan due to high New York City rent. He recently posted a picture of moving boxes on his twitter. Another tweet has the following automatic translation:

By the time you find a Kyoto townhouse you want to live in
And
For the time being, the room That Maggie decided to live in
In a room as small as New York,
Less than one-third of the rent
I feel like I’m being made a fool of by NY.

    The only attraction with NY is dining fast food and anything else associated with food even though the prices are outrageous. If you find a place in the city 300 sq ft $2200 a month Unless you make Donald Trump cash you have to settle for a slum with roaches and possibly rats crawling into your kitchen in the wee hrs of the evening . Better off in Japan where you will be appreciated

    These are the most expensive cities to live in in 2019. I was very surprised to see Osaka. What is Kobayashi’s Visa status?
    It is likely true that Kobayashi will be more appreciated in Japan though I do not know how much eating contests are part of the culture any more.

    He should fire his business manager wife. If he signed with MLE he would have made loads of money They would have payed him a salary plus not to mention sponsorships which would have provided every comfort imaginable including living expenses . He thought by competing as an independent all of the eating establishments would come knocking at his door . Well guess what it backfired on him big time . He did make a few bucks in NYC and some of the eating competitions in other states but hardly the income which would have provided him with wealth and fortune if he competed on the MLE circuit . Hope he enjoys the peanuts he will make competing in his hometown again I think those food fight days in Japan are a thing of the past

    Do not be ridiculous. He had several friends who helped him and kept seeing him. They had nothing to do with his going back to Japan. After Maggie, he had a whole new set of friends, mostly Japanese.

    Basically Conti his mom and Booker who were close friends of his before he was arrested . Whether they wanted anything to do with him after the arrest remains to be seen. I saw on youtube in very poor quality videos that Conti is hanging out with Maria Edible and another girl in Guatamala

    there was a time around 50 yrs ago when you could rent an apartment in NYC for $175 to $250 a month but compared to the rents you would pay in other boroughs of NY at that time that amount was kind of steep

    In 2004 , you could rent a decent Medicine Hat Alberta Apartment for $350 a month !! Big Living Room , Nice Kitchen , Decent Bedroom , A Bathroom .
    And Medicine Hat was crime free . I left my doors open the whole time .
