Not sure if he’s getting appearance fee but $500 if you complete 5lb challenge. He’s doing 2 of them so prize might be double. Should have stayed with mle

from what i hear if you are a novice or have little if any experience doing eating challenges you will end up puking half way or a little more into the challenge. Majority give up after 30 min. For Kobe to attempt 2 of these is an astounding feet

If I’m not mistaken, lots of people have won this easy challenge, including Randy Santel, Wayne Algenio, Darron Breedon, and Mitch Dombrowski. It’s not that big for most competitive eaters

WTF????? Someone has stolen Randy Santel’s video and posted as his own:

Did Randy give him permission to do this?????? Is it monetized??

This YouTube user, “khong Tao”, has uploaded tons of Randy’s videos. What is going on? Is Randy trying to get more publicity by using an alias?

I have not seen Kobayashi in quite some time but it appears he is still in top form even in his late 30s . Say what you want about him but he is still an inspiration to competitive eating . What others consider a chore or a struggle he makes it seem simplistic. Prior to the challenge the tv monitors showed highlights of his career but focused primarily on his arrest in Coney Island . With the high tech surround sound system you would think the police sirens from 2010. were right outside the bar . Sad that when Kobe name is brought up in conversation he used to be known as the greatest living competitive eater but now when you bring his name up the response is more like Isn’t he the guy that they wont let compete in the 4th of July contest ?

Just my personal opinion but when Kobe stormed the stage in Coney 7yrs ago George Shea could have looked the other way and said hey what the hell , ladies and gentleman the great Kobayashi. It would have created an entirely different perspective. Kobe might have decided to sign the contract and the rest is history. Instead they created a spectacle with Mike Antolini furiously wagging a finger at him with the cops at bay. “Here he is arrest this man” Not only was Antolini forced to resign because of the death threats he received after the fiasco but it put a damper on the sport and MLE as well

Was there an MC? Doubt it.Can you imagine if out blue George Shea started MC the challenge a few minutes in? Kobe would prob drop the burger and storm out of the restaurant

@3:55 There have been many people complete the challenge, I would say at least 10 to 15. Wayne has beaten it along with Dave Wood, Mitch, and others. Not many people have received the $500 they set originally though.
@5:48 unfortunately that happens quite often. I have gotten most of them taken down but it still occurs every now and then. Haha no I don’t attempt to get more publicity using that method 🙂

If they play games with $$ that’s false advertising. Pay $500 cash or don’t advertise prize money at all.Bullshit !

Many more Randy?/Like who? According to manager of restaurant you and a female eater were the only ones to finish it
anonymous said
April 29, 2017 @ 7:58 pm
I heard that shortly after Kobayashi was arrested MLE sent out letters to ranked members asking that they not associate with him due to bad influence conflict of interest etc or face removal or stiff penalties. Many major league eaters followed orders because they are true soldiers of the organization. Even Conti Kobe best friend parted ways out of fear he might receive disciplinary action. Imagine after all those years the pet of the organization being told his services are no longer required?

From what I’ve read/heard, they only pay the $500 to non-professionals. If your name pops up in a google search, and they see anything Eating Contest related, they won’t pay you
@5:44- restaurant managers aren’t always 100% accurate.
Mitch has done it. He has a video up. Stop being lazy and do some research before making stupid comments.

Bodybuilders or marathon runners should not be allowed to enter this challenge as well as pro eaters because they have unfair advantage over average joe. They work out all day burn calories and build up an unfair appetite advantage as opposed to some fat dumpster who never worked out or a novice eater that never tried eating competitively . With that said Randy you and the Furious Petes of this society are able to conquer these challenges without much effort. If all of us trained with weights day and night and ran 5 miles a day or more , hey we would have the same unfair appetite advantage as you guys. Kobe has god given talent while you guys are fasting your way to victory .

7:58: Did Dave Goldstein, Badlands Booker, or Allen Goldstein follow MLE’s orders? Just curious, not trying to start anything?
I remember when MLE found out Dave Goldstein and I believe it was Brian Subich were going to do Wing Bowl, they sent the two letters, and Subich complied, but Dave rebelled. It was on eatfeats.

9:41: Magic Mitch Dombrowski is an excellent competitive eater who works for foodchallenges.com as the Director of Videography, and who has improved vastly over the years. He is now almost as good as Randy and is similar is skills to Ethan Teske, although neater. He is not to be taken lightly.

I found out about the Ainsworth Challenge originally from a subscriber. The challenge initially awarded $500 to anybody who completed it, meaning the restaurant apparently thought their challenge was huge. Knowing that the restaurant would soon learn their challenge wasn’t really that big, I let Wayne know about it so he could swoop in and get the money. I was going to be there like a month later so Wayne tried taking a long time and eating slowly, finishing in 17 minutes, but apparently the staff watching him knew he wasn’t going full speed. They then added the no professionals clause and quickly got ridiculous about it. Yeah if you came up via Google search, you weren’t allowed to win the money. Dave Wood I think got paid and a German bodybuilder I think got paid too (saw via his Instagram), but I don’t know who else did. I got money but as an appearance fee instead of prize money. As a general rule, never listen to a manager and take what they say as 100% true. They usually don’t know the full story, especially when a place has 5 locations and they aren’t well connected, in different parts of the city.
Emma tried the challenge and did fail, but from what she said they lowered the time limit down and made the challenge a little bigger. I am not sure though, I haven’t checked on it for quite a while. Just an example of a restaurant creating a challenge without putting a ton of proactive thought into it, and then getting reactive once things start going bad.
And I haven’t seen a video or anything, but I suspect if Kobi was going 100%, he would finish 2 in under 10 minutes. My time was under 10 for one of them, and his abilities are at least double mine lol.

Also in nearby Hillsdale, NJ, there is a place that is called Stickey’s BBQ that refuses to pay the prize of $100 if they deem you professional for whatever reason, even if you have done no challenges or contests in the past. If they feel they will lose the challenge, they won’t let you do it.

Kobayashi is a disgrace to his fellow eaters with MLE . He is considered an outcast to society among his former peers. They could care less what he does. They are not friends with him on FB instagram or twitter. Once loved by the competitive eating community and MLE he is no longer the apple of their eyes after his disgusting display of selfishness at the Nathans 4th of July contest 5yrs ago. The storybook snow white marriage with Miki Sudo is nothing more than a pipe dream that will never come to pass. Matter fact what is even more sad is the fact that they were never introduced . Toyland toyland everyone knows its toyland de de de de de de; Let me stop i am drowning in tears

Kobe Chestnut and Stonie capacity is a natural one not juiced up by horse piss steroids these body builders use to enhance their appetite. Weitgh lifters bodybuilders marathon runners should be banned from challenges and eating contests because their capacity appetite is not a natural one Its more like a cheating one

speaking of challenges i just saw US Male pathetic 3 medium pizza challenge a 10 yr old can easily conquer. The grand prize is a sweet Randy Santel T shirt which he is wearing already. Why doesnt he try the Answorth 5lb burger challenge? Answer . He can’t complete it so he doesn’t want to look bad trying

10:28: I think you’re being extreme. I think much of the reason there is not much social media interaction is because he doesn’t speak English really well. He’s made friends at a lot of the contests/exhibitions he has been to, including Gringo Banditos Tacos, dumplings, Taco in a Bag (competitive eaters who invited him, btw), University of Oregon, etc.

Sad that the entire MLE community turned his back on him because of their allegiance to a stupid eating organization and because the shea brothers told them to
