Texas A & M student paper on competitive eating
The Texas A & M student paper has an article about the Castles brothers, two accounting majors who are aspiring competitive eaters. There are a lot of quotes from Crazy Legs Conti, who says that “Zen & the Art of Competitive Eating” will be released July 30 and that he will reveal the origin of his nickname if he ever beats Kobayashi.

Nice article, but these guys don’t have a chance when they’re throwing up after each gorging sessions. Plus, Cici’s buffet has small pizzas and I have eaten 6 pizzas without any problem.

Nathan Biller, why do you always have to brag?

How many inches would you estimate a cici’s buffet pizza to be? I don’t think they have cicis out here, so I have no clue.

You know this Nathan Biller is quite annoying. Maybe its the name or maybe it is because he is short or maybe it’s because he sounds like don lerman

I hope that Rhonda Evans did not read those posts yesterday accusing her of a false identity. She is a wonderful human being and a walking CE encyclopedia

I’m not bragging, I would say most anyone with a large stomach could eat at least 6 pizzas there – the pizzas probably are around 10″ with very little toppings. But the buffet used to be $2.99 including salad bar and pasta – those were the days.

The pizzas are 12″ according to dietfacts.com ( http://dietfacts.com/html/nutrition-facts/cicis-pizza-pepperoni-pizza-slice-of-12-inch-buffet-pizza-29537.htm ). You are right on Nate. I believe it is the best pizza value anywhere. ;o) Most people with above average capacity should be able to put down a few with no problem for a nice snack.

Thanks Hall for the link. Hmmm; I could certainly eat a few of them, but I don’t know about 6! But maybe they are lighter/thinner compared to standard delivery pizzas. I wonder how much 6 of them weighs. . .heh, CE has brainwashed me into wanting to know what everything weighs. I’m a sick individual 🙂 Anyway, $2.99 sounds like an awesome deal. But you said used to be. . .what is it priced at now?

It is now $5 with a drink inclusive and that gets you access to all the pizza, pasta, salad and breadsticks you can eat. We are spoiled with all the cheap all-you-can-eat palces here in TX, but it still is one of the best deals around. They also have Cici’s in the Washington/Baltimore area.

I am told by the CiCi’s manager here in Kennesaw that I hold their record for slices consumed….I’ve done 37, then had a few desserts. The only reason I stop is my family is ready to leave, and my wife is always embarassed by my pile of plates.
I am sure that Joey, X, Sonya, Pat, Chip, Bob, or any top 30 eater could all eat upwards of 60…the slices are smaller than a usual pie, and the toppings are less than generous – it’s still good, though, and a fantastic deal!!
If these two guys are puking after 3 pizzas, they need to forget it. Competitive eaters don’t puke, they just run out of time. Save the puking for the models.

$5 is still super cheap considering a large pizza costs like 10-15 bucks at most delivery places. I have a lot of all you can eat places out here too, but they are higher end stuff with lots of seafood and such. Not too many cheap buffets, except for a couple chinese places of questionable sanitary practices.

We’ve got CiCi’s here in the ‘Burgh too.
Their pizza dough is below average at best, but the AYCE for 5 bucks is still a good deal.
Usually my girlfriend is done eating and I hurry it up so we can get outta there.
The great thing about the place is that you can order anything you want… and the kids behind the counter will put it together and put it up for everyone to try. Cheeseburger Pizza is my favorite!

Cheeseburger pizza sounds great. Are veggie pizzas popular there?
