(Butch) I think if competitive eating fans had half the devotion as Todd the growth would be more than triple what it is now.

Todd seeing my picture on your wall brings tears to my eyes. It is an honor i cant describe. This makes up for the Carnegie Deli ripping my photo down from their restaurant after i became the 2002 nyc pickle champ. Thanks alot you are the best

Wow, Brian, how long ago did that happen? (yeah, yeah, 2002, but when did the pic actually come down?) Did anyone do a follow up on this for a blog? Next time I am in New York, (wish I had known earlier, I was just around the corner from there last week) I will stop by and get the scoop.

I saw the pic on the wall a few weeks after i won in may . It was moved to the back room and eventually removed from the wall altogether in 2003. Blogs on CE were virtually non existant back then. It’s a long story and to be honest who cares.

Nice Todd! On a sidenote, I wish I had room for a home gym at my place.

Well it isn’t right, Brian. If there was a reason other than scaring away customers, that is.

Thanks! I need to add some pics to the wall. I added a Cap’n Crunch Box too. Fellow table enders know about that with our introductions.

HA! The Cap’n Crunch. The roof of my mouth still hasn’t healed.

I posted this on another eatfeats entry but the link seemed not to be working.

Todd, I remember seeing you at the fry bread eating competition. I ate 4 1/2 of those rubbery “breads”. Last year I finished the Arizona Mills qualifier in third place. Very unprepared, I finished with a mere 13 hot dogs, fewer than I often eat for an “ordinary meal”.

I hope to see you there.
