Tim Janus appeared on the latest episode of the Run Along podcast to discuss his retirement and the reasons for the termination of his competitive eating career. At the peak of his training, he says he was drinking 3.5 gallons of water multiple times a day, which he immediate threw up.

    Props to anyone who has the balls to self torture by water training. I tried it and was like hell to the no the pain isn’t worth any kind of money, fame or YouTube subscribers.

    You can water train all you want and make pretty good gains, but the few who can swallow large volumes of solids quickly (and with relative ease) are still going to be in a league of their own.

    Janus will forever be a legend for recording the longest belch in history at 18 seconds. Guess that’s how long it takes to empty a 3.5 gallon stomach filled with air.

    Hey Early Colonoscopy: are new to CE?!?!? 99% of what Molly swallows doesn’t reach her colon. It comes out the same orifice it went in.
