    This guy is a dirtbag ! He got on this website last year and talked about all of the great prizes 1st, 2nd and 3rd places were recieving. They never recieved anything . You would think he would go hide , but I guess the money and things people were donating were too much to turn away from. He’ll get caught !

    Prizes to be announced? Why would any legit eater want to waste their time with this brutal contest for a lousy gift certificate or nothing. Sounds like someone is using eaters for his own personal agenda. I thought I heard last year that the pizza sucked.

    I cannot believe I am even wasting my time in writing this, but a couple of things:
    1. Alex’s Lemonade Stand received a $3,000 donation for this event.
    2. This was a charity event. Dale Boone is upset because he had 2 free hotel rooms, free food, 5 course meal at Carmines, taxis, etc… all weekend for him and his mother. Again, this is a charity event. He has taken it upon himself to try and call every charity, sponsor, etc… and bad-mouth us. Do us all a favor, don’t drive up with your mother. Stay in NC or India.
    3. We are 100% full with eaters this year. No more should apply. But Dale, thanks for the sabotage efforts.
    4. Whom ever puts on events of this capacity really has no idea what it takes (sorry, running a half-ass pizza eating contest at a shopping mall in the suburbs of India does not count), the amount of staff, and the amount of effort and money that is put into them. If you did, you would have more respect…child.
    5. Call the papers…everything black/white from our side. If you have THAT much time to write the papers, and you are THAT upset because you did not receive GRANDIOSE prizes that you thought you SHOULD receive, than you are just plain-old-sad. PERIOD.
    6. Please give the papers Squibbs number too as he would love to talk to them.
    7. We didn’t and still do not have to have this competition go towards charity, but we do. We didn’t and still don’t have to loose money every year, but we do. And we WILL NOT be inviting back the likes of Boone as his antics are 100% childish, unprofessional and outright outrageous.

    Time to grow-up and get a real life.

    No, we are not going away. Dale and his antics are the only ones unhappy with this awesome event. Save your energy and actually set-up your eating game.

    Tony Boloney: I don’t know enough about your event, but if it’s for charity I hope it comes off well. First mistake, inviting Dale Boone to any event. He’s a self promoting slug who is only out for himself. You and other eateries hoping to hold eating contests should do more research when it comes to who and what organizations you asociate with. Organizations such as Boone’s WLOCE and APE are just looking to scam companies like yours, pretending they have a reputation like MLE eaters and organization. Spending any money on Boone — well second mistake. If your event is truly credible, and if Dale Boone is actually badmouthing your event, just point reporters to his website where he lies and claims that he and his scam artists are “top eaters in the world.” Boone tried to promote a fake eating show with some woman named Suzanne French several months ago and eventually reporters, producers and the public learned they were lied to and the show failed miserably. Just some advice.

    Yes I was there and did have a good time at the event. The deal is that we all participated in this event advertised as cash/prizes for the top 3 finishers. Although I believe Squibb only got some stuff, 2nd & 3rd got nothing. Yes, the event was for charity and I appreciate that but my problem was that after doing this long, brutal event, the owner Mike was never honest with me (us). He was like, get back to me tomorrow/next week/later and I will have something. I was disappointed and then moved on.

    Boone on the other hand is pissed and taking it very personal. He is calling everyone, everywhere for whatever reason and then telling me I am not part of the competitive eating family because I am not supporting his antics. Whats it going to get us at this point? Nothing!!!

    Mike is a nice guy and I hope his event is successful, but I will just not participate again. Squibb will win it easily again with no competition.

    To the guy who said this event made $100,000: I’m not the owner, nor do I have any affiliation with Tony Boloney’s. However, I would love to see where you got your numbers. I see alot of finger pointing and blaming, but I have yet to see anyone post ANY proof. I’d take the word of Dale & Dave that they received NOTHING. However, where is Boone showing an e-mail or an advertisement about the GREAT PRIZES that he and the contestants were PROMISED. I’d love to see where this event MADE $100,000. And with anyone with common sense, an event could bring in $100,000, BUT that does NOT mean $100,000 was PROFIT. This was a charity event, so I am sure that 60-70% of that $100,000 were things that were DONATED by sponsors and vendors. Assume $30,000 CASH came in – Tony I’m sure had permits to pay for, other things to buy, employees & other people to pay for being theire (ei. Quest Love). And therefore, maybe the net result was $3,000 to give to Alex’s Lemonade Stand. (I’m sure THAT number is higher considering people have been able to donate money to Tony Boloney’s for Alex’s Lemonade at this event and at the pizzeria for over a year and a half).

    Sadly, PEOPLE are full of DRAMA. and most love to talk or throw in an OPINION or just want to talk smack. Quit talking and show some PROOF one way or the other. Don’t throw out numbers or make them up – SHOW me where these REAL numbers came from. Put up or shut up.

    Mike did NOT make any racist comments. If Dale Boone lived in Wisconsin, he would have said “Stay in Wisconsin”. Boone lives in India for the majority of the year. Although NC is incorrect, cause I believe Boone is originally from Georgia.

It will come back to bite you on the … arm that fed them. Just last year, after the Slaughterfest contest, a host people wrote on this very site that Dale Boone was garbage.     @ Boonedoggle, although you are 100% correct on the type of person Boone really is and I don’t mean to give him any pat on the back but why can’t he be angry about not being paid any prizes? When you have an organization backing you up, the money is determined up front, and if a sponsor doesn’t come through … well that just doesn’t happen in the MLE. And, all and any negotiations, comps, prizes, etc. are done by the MLE. Now as an indie you can be angry, but when it comes to being an independent eater, caveat emptor. You’re on your own buddy. Thems the breaks. Boone being angry for someone suposedly lying to him. I actually think that’s great. I feel sorry for the more legit eaters if they didn’t compensated. But in Boone’s case, well paybacks a female dog and Boone has it coming to him with all his lies about beating other eaters, falsifying his record, his sham organization, is overall abilities, bogus rankings, etc. Unfortunately, any other eater’s association or attendance at competitions with Boone learns the hard way that since he screws people, people will screw him. Those around him become unfortunate collateral damage. Actually the real issue is that Boone demeans and takes the legitimacy away from competitive eating for all the legitimate eaters for Boone’s personal gains. Independents need to be aware of that and stay away from anything he’s a part of.

    I am not an eater, just an observer. Boone seems to be a really bad person and I couldn’t blame people for choosing not to be a part of anything he is affiliated with.     Slaughterfest & Baloney’s owner are a joke, as is Boone. Even if they charity gets ANY money, it is done to promote the pizza place & the owner. Anything else is a happy accident. I am an eater who had a conv. w/owner & decided not to enter. It didn’t feel right. If a place will not say what the prizes are, they aren’t worthy of attendance by quality eaters, & they will f@ck u, if u give them the opportunity. Just as this place did to the 2nd, 3rd & more? place eaters.

    Us Males comments are confusing. He was lied to, got nothing, won’t go back, but he’s a nice guy?? So, he agrees w/Boone, but just doesn’t want to admit it??

    I just think U.S. Male is being appropriately political. He knows, as Tony Baloney’s manager found out, that anything you write can be taken out of context, or proven wrong in the future once all the facts come out. So why badmouth anyone on this site, unless it’s a proven fact as in the case of someone like Dale Boone. Tony Baloney’s event clearly has some ethical issues involved, but from an independent eater’s why go out of your way to make a sponsor look bad on this site. All it may do is potentially scare away any future legit sponsors in the fear that they too may get bad mouthed by an eater with a tendency to smear sponsors. Therefore, for all you people who claim that there is no place for anony posters, here is instance where posting anony, yet truthful, can have its benefits for other eaters in pointing out unscrupulous sponsors and not getting a bad rep from legit sponsors. Also, notice how Boone was so quick to throw U.S. Male under the bus by writing that he spoke to U.S. Male and putting him in corner to bad mouth Tony Baloney’s. See how Boone screws even his friends. Also, Boone’s claim that he’s part of a “family of eaters” is a joke. Boone would screw a fellow eater just for the fun of it.

    I have heard stories about Boone being generous and kind to fellow eaters outside of the table. One in specific whom name i wont mention said Boone showed him around the surroundings of an undisclosed state. A state which Boone wasnt even born it and this person was. Does that make any sense? I failed to ask of Boone covered the bar and or restaurant tab. It that wasnt the case then Boone so called generosity was pointless.

    Mike that was your mistake inviting Boone to your event. We all know about Boone but that doesnt hide the fact that you are a crook. Boone is a self promoting slug who is only out for himself. and you should have known that . With that said you have no one else to blame but yourself. I think even Seiken beat Boone in a pumpkin pie contest years ago.
