Thats a damn shame because US Male was the only entertaining eater in the IFOCE and the only one with a set to stand up to the soulless sheas

Who the hell is Bruce Ollis? Come on least find someone who deserves to be in there, someone who has some sort of eating talent. Not a no talent bottom feeding hack like Brockert.

They should put me in the rankings for tieing for 6th at the World Poutine Eating Comp…lol kidding.
But seriously, the MLE/IFOCE should do more Canadian events so some of us up north can try making it into the rankings.

Everyone moves up a spot. I did not know 2 events without a nathans qualifier can get someone into the top 50. Seems pretty random, i think there were other folks out there that are currently unranked with more and/or better results in the past years MLE contests. I wonder how much decision went into this. I was thinking of eaters that have been in multiple events in the last year and have results better than 10th place. Just my very humble opinion.

I think there should be a link to the MLE eater rankings from this blog entry:

Just remember there is no “scientific” method of who is ranked where, its just how you look in the eyes of those @ 18 east 41st street, new york, ny, 10017 Give them a call and ask 212-627-5766

Overall, I have to say MLE does a pretty good job with rankings—-better than I (and most) could do. They are bound to displease people along the way. This is earth, not heaven; things are never perfect.

I disagreed vehemently when the powers at MLE moved Koby down to # 3 below Notorious Bob nearly a year ago, but if I were in their position I might have done the same thing, knowing (assuming they knew) that Koby likely would not re-sign. Why exalt someone whom you have no future with? It would fly in the face of good business to do so, regardless of Koby’s immense contribution to the “sport.”

First and foremost the IFOCE is a business. They’re the entrepreneurs—-the risk takers. They deserve ample rewards. What is ample? Who knows. People always complain, but most of those same people are quick to locate an ink pen with which to extend their organizational allegiances come contract renewal time.

I suspect that will always be the case.

    Ben
If you did some more contests, you’d be ranked, and probably pretty well too.

I am sure US male expected that after such a public dis of the $heas during wing bowl. I for one am happy that US Male is now an independent, the new peoples champ, rather than one of the Sheas puppets.

I’ve always been inside the top 10 in all the IFOCE/MLE events I’ve been involved with. I not very consistant but I do have 14 1st place wins in 27 events over the one year that I have patcipated as a CE. I could have fit that 50th spot real well!!

Write to them Matt, tell them everything you wrote here, perhaps change your last part not to I could have but something for the future. Look how long it took for USMale to be dropped from the rankings. It is not as if they did not know that he was competing in Wingbowl. And good for him to have really run with going independent and making an amusing entrance. He makes a great statement, follows his desires and beliefs. About MLE, I am guessing that their efforts go into arranging contests, looking for sponsors etc. They lag on the paperwork, if you want to call it that. If you remind them of what you have accomplished, perhaps say that you hope that when the next ranking occurs, you will be considered, they might pay more attention. Who knows? At any moment another eater could step down one way or the other, retire, go independent. Get yourself on the radar for the next rankings.

Matt, you were exactly who i was thinking of when i said that there were other contestants with multiple events and finished in the top ten. I just didn’t feel comfortable dropping any names. I wouldn’t do anything, just keep on eating and you will be there.

@anonymous 316 no I dont. My earlier comment was just in regerds to the randomness of the rankings. I’m learning to much right now to sign on with MLE.
