User registration date added to comment threads

The registration date for logged in commenters has been added to comment threads to encourage commenters to register and prevent spoofing of registered users.

The modified wordpress file wp-includes/comment-template.php is available. The function comment_author_registration_date() has been added to this file.

    so only the logged in users will have this on there? I don’t think this will change anything as far as anonymous posters, only those who pretend to be someone else. How about a location added to the comment?

    Spoofing of registered users should be the last thing we need to worry about. What you should enforce is registration under your real fuckin name . All i see is anonymous anonymous anonymous. Its coming out of my fuckin ears . Enough already

    Excellent idea Carey. That will really do the trick. The little varmints will dissapear real fast. I think OJ should do it. Not very many people will go out their way to post under a proxy. The anony just wont post as much

    Can’t we all just get along ?? I believe in free speech, payouts to 7th place, the DH, anything BOSTON, ice cold COCA-COLA, and that anyone who wants to say anything should STATE THEIR NAME !!!!

    Next step………only allow posts from registered users. All users should be approved by OJ, after providing a valid e-mail link and their identity. Registering under one’s real name would ideal. While we might not know who everyone is, OJ would.

    Anon at 236pm OJ has no requirement to allow any of us to post. He graciously allows it, under his rules. He can make the rules however lax or strict he chooses. If you think that’s overly Orwellian, too bad.

    Some asshole tried to post under my name at 10:30 am yesterday. Had to be stinky miernicki being that several words were spelled incorrectly. . As Mike mentioned only allow posts from registered users so the little anonymous retards can find another blogsite to get their jollies off.IP and location would certainly deter the maggots from ever posting again . Maybe they can find a new home on whackbag.com or bodybuilding.com and interact with more losers. Only one drawback in this scenario. OJ will lose alot of traffic as far as comments, if anonymous or alias name posters are required to register in order for their comments to be posted. On the other hand this site will become better structured and serve as a fan friendly site. Any bad rep that was attached to it will soon disappear. More like a friendly chat room which will hopefully deter haters from posting negative bullshit.

    If you are going to allow names like THE TRUTH HURTS or Incredible bulk , Luther , etc etc to register , then the whole registration process is pointless. The only fake name that should be allowed to post and register is Rhonda Evans because lets face it, she payed her dues and is very inciteful.
