Wing Bowl not on Wachovia Center schedule

As of November 13, Wing Bowl 15 has yet to be listed on the Wachovia Center Schedule. If the Wing Bowl is held the Friday morning before the Super Bowl on February 2, the Wachovia Center will have to switch from a hockey rink to the Wing Bowl configuration to basketball in 24 hours.

Has anyone even seen or heard anything about Wing Bowl even happening this year? Even from the radio station?

They still need the hockey glass up. So there isn’t that much of a change other than assemble the stage and put the floor cover on.

The wingbowl ads are being played on WIP. They keep hinting towards the start of the season.

Keep it in Philly and restrict it to those who live there. It’s a joke for the IFOCE to endorse it, at least in my mind, but you know what they say about opinions.

It’s a good bet that the Shea’s payed off Angelo & Al 2yrs ago to have a steak in this venture. In return they assumed full control of deciding what eaters in the IFOCE should be hyped and given prefrential or red carpet treatment in the event. Familiar names involved with aice were banned. You cant blame the Shea’s for wanting a piece of the action. Any eating event that draws 20thou fans and up they will pull all strings to be a part of it

Well it was asked if they’re advertising it and I answered. All I ask is that you go to one then judge if its a boring event.

Philly guy do you consider a bunch of low life white trash idiots drinking beer vomiting and masturbating in back rooms , fun? Most of the wingettes are street or strip club whores showing off fake implants . If you have any pride or decency in yourself you realize its a total waste of time. There is no security in the arena someone can get seriously hurt getting hit by a glass bottle or stampeeded to death. The only one that has the last laugh is the winner that walks out with a car worth 20G

Hi Anonymous. I think you meant “stake” vs steak. But I understand the mistake, as it’s easy to get hungry on this site.

I love how “anonymous” has so much to say to Philly guy. I bet she is a Gloria Steinam, Camille Paglia wannabe that can’t handle a good time. Relax! If you don’t like it than don’t go , but don’t put others down for enjoying a Philadelphia tradition. If your not a girl than you are gay as hell! don’t worry Philly Guy, Pa Competitive Eaters rule!!!

All I know is there is too much security there. I lost a six pack there last year, because they said if its not in cups its not allowed. The only beers being thrown are in plastic cups.

Pittsburgh Wing Bowl is much of the same… smaller scale, but all the eaters get free passes to Club Erotica after the event.
    WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
