Magical Theme Parks posted a picture of construction work at the site of the former Nathan's Famous hot dog eating contest wall of fame. We will see if this results in the construction of a new billboard.

The new board should say Nathan’s uses Chinese owned Smithfield to produce hot dogs for our Fourth of July celebration what a kick in the teeth Grow up Eaters. Don’t support China and embarrass yourselves. We will let the country know what Nathan’s is doing. America first even In wieners

Smithfield owns nathans, not the other way around. They don’t choose where where hot dogs come from. That’s how businesses work…..big fish eat little fish when they either can’t support themselves, or they’re growing too fast and the big company wants to nip them in the bud. News flash, NOBODY CARES where the company is from. People want the highest quality they can get at the lowest cost. Grow the hell up. This is why capitalism kicks ass. Not much more American you can get than that

Continued: Smithfield, based in Virginia, is owned by a Chinese company that owns a lot of things, particularly food companies, this doesn’t mean the product is even chinese (as if that mattered anyway). Just like the owners of some U.S. sports teams……aren’t from the U.S. (gasp, shock, horror)……oh……wait…..still crickets. Again……..this is how business works. Stop being such a nationalistic idiot that doesn’t actually care……your just trying to stir controversy on a site whose frequenters, are over the same old worn out “insults” being “controversial”

1220 and 1229 both full of shit. This why our country is falling apart. Nathan’s is doing our 4 th of July with a Chinese company. What’s wrong with this. Everything is wrong promoting our independence with a Chinese owned hot dog company. This will not stand. I am proposing all competitors to boycott Nathan’s hot dogs. We will start contacting ESPN and others to stop this asinine contest with fake Independence Day aspirations.

Hey 1220 I care. This is why our country is falling behind. People like you who don’t care. Maybe you don’t care but a lot of us do and we will let the nation know about this kick in the teeth on our INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION know as the Fourth of July. Nathan’s the American proud wil let the nation know you are telling a lie. We. We need to get another sponsor and ditch Nathan’s.

Hey 1220 maybe Nathan’s shouldn’t be doing wieners on the fourth. Maybe a new hot dog sponsor from an american owned company

Kick in the teeth…….way to out yourself.
So, even if a Chinese owned company wants to bring happiness to Americans with their contest, paying out primarily American competitors, showing to a primarily American audience…..it’s a no no because the company is Chinese owned? They don’t pitch it as……….American owned so buy it as such…….it’s merely a celebration of a contest on an American holiday……relax…..I wouldn’t say our country is going to hell in a hand basket due to a hot dog contest……I’d probably start with funding other countries policies as a start of “where to be outraged. I would say regardless of owners……this contest does a lot more good for the country than bad.
